Two Clubs - One Tryout! ✌️➡️☝️
You read that right! FVP and Heat volleyball clubs are excited to try something new this season!
TRYOUTS — traditional fall tryout weekends were often intense, lots of time trying to get everywhere, burnt out players, and expensive. Now add in summer tryouts, and its a whole other world of trying to manage tryout ‘season’.
FVP and Heat got together and said - hey, there has to be a better way for players, families, and clubs!
What does this mean for everyone? — Fewer tryouts, less scheduling, less driving around, less cost, and players are fresher for tryouts because they haven’t been to so many. Players will get a chance to meet coaches from more than one club and see what is their best fit.
For clubs, we’ll have twice as many hands on deck to help with tryouts, to give players a better experience and evaluation.
So, how is this going to work?!?!
STEP 1: REGISTER
There will be ONE registration for the tryout - it will run through Heat’s sportsengine system but the link from both clubs will be the same. Players will fill out just one registration - not one for each club. Link to register: https://heatvbc.sportngin.com/register/form/972790915
STEP 2: CHECK IN
Players will come to the tryout just as before, check in, get a tryout t-shirt with a number, and get ready for the tryout.
STEP 3: TRYOUT
Coaches from both Heat and FVP will be at the check-in and in the gym. Our clubs are working together to run the tryout and complete evaluations. Heat coaches will be assessing players that they think will fit on their teams, while FVP is doing the same for their teams.
After tryouts, each club will make individual offers just like if there would have been separate tryouts. Some players may receive an offer from both clubs - that’s ok, that’s the way it has always been. We will work through the process as usual.
FVP and Heat are excited to partner together in trying something different that should be better for players, families, and clubs.

15U Girls: 5-7 pm (check in starts at 4:20 pm)
16U Girls: 7-9 pm (check in starts at 6:20 pm)
17/18U Girls: 7-9 pm (check in starts at 6:20 pm)
11-14U Try Outs Girls
Date: Monday, July 20th
Cost: $55
Location: Community First Champion Center

11/12U Girls: 5-7 pm (check in starts at 4:20 pm)
13U Girls: 5-7 pm (check in starts at 4:20 pm)
14U Girls: 7-9 pm (check in starts at 6:20 pm)
By participating in this tryout, players are trying out for both teams. They have the option to receive an offer from both clubs. A player has an option to accept, decline, or hold offers, the same as if it were separate tryouts.
The same as single club tryouts, you may receive an offer any day after the tryout, but within the tryout window. So if you get an offer from one club on day 1 after tryouts, it doesn't mean that the other club may not reach out to offer until day 2.
