NEW WEBINAR EXPLAINS THE NEW RULES!
Do you know that a new set of racing rules will go into effect worldwide on January 1? Before you sail a race next year, make sure you understand all the changes in the 2025-2028 rulebook. The best way to prepare? Join this four-part webinar, taught by Dave Dellenbaugh, that explains everything you’ll need to know for racing in 2025 (and beyond).
This webinar series begins on Monday, November 18, at 8:00 pm (US Eastern time), and continues on the following three Mondays. The first two sessions will explain the 2025-2028 rule changes in detail. Part 3 will check your understanding of the new (and old) rules using lots of quizzes. Part 4 will be a detailed Q&A about the most relevant questions that have been asked (but not yet answered) during the webinar.
The goal of this webinar is to 1) explain in detail what's different in the new rulebook; and 2) build your confidence about sailing under the new rules for the next four years!
The price for the series is $55 ($60 after Oct 31), which includes: A) four live webinars; B) a link to a Google document with all the webinar Quizzes and Q&As; and C) unlimited access to the REPLAYS of all sessions (in case you miss any or would like to review them later).

'RULES AT MARKS': New Webinar Series Starts Soon!
This new four-part webinar that will provide an in-depth look at how the racing rules apply to various mark rounding situations from start to finish. Dave Dellenbaugh will go around the race course and examine dozens of typical multi-boat situations. Using videos, quizzes and animations, Dave will explain how the racing rules apply in each case and how you can improve your tactics with a better understanding of the rules.
The series starts Monday, November 21, at 8:00 pm US Eastern time (GMT -5) and continues the following three Mondays.
The price of $55 includes four live sessions plus an unlimited ability to watch all four replays. Topics are: 1. Rules at the Start & Finish, 2. Rules at Windward Marks, 3. Rules at Leeward Marks, and 4. Rules Q&As. It will be a great review from last year and look ahead to next season!

My second Webinar Series starts next Thursday, May 21. It’s a four-part series called LET’S TALK TACTICS! sponsored by Macatawa Bay YC. The focus is on boat-to-boat tactics and how these maneuvers are affected by racing rules at four key parts of a race: 1) Starting, 2) Upwind legs, 3) Downwind legs, and 4) Finishing. The sessions start at 5:30 pm EDT. They go for 75 minutes and include video, diagrams, photos, quizzes and me at an actual whiteboard! Participant questions are encouraged.
