We want to welcome Donnie Green to the Wolf Pack! Donnie comes to ETFC with a servant heart. While his resume speaks for itself, Donnie chose ETFC because he desires to grow the Kingdom of God and point young players to Christ. Additionally, we share similar perspectives on individual-player development, and possession-oriented soccer.

Donnie will be coaching our U10 Girls’ Team. He is the current Head Coach of Roane State’s Women’s Soccer Team. Prior to this, he was the Head Coach at Oak Ridge High School, Grace Christian Academy, and served in a similar capacity at local clubs.

We are looking forward to working with, and learning from, Coach Donnie!

Repetition is necessary in order to master a skill...period.

What most don't understand is that hundreds of thousands (and sometimes millions) of repetitions are required in order for a skill to be perfected. Research proves this - continuous repetitions of certain components in training indicate to our brain that those movements are important, and the brain responds by adapting to a higher quality and more efficient performance.

Real development happens at the fundamental level. It's not always glamorous, it probably doesn't look good on social media, but it's absolutely necessary to meet the genetic potential.

We wanted to extend a huge THANK YOU to the ETFC soccer community. More importantly, we felt compelled to share a story about how great God is!

This year, God showed up in a big way. Last week, less than 24 hours before our final tryout, well over a dozen new players registered. On the heels of that, we decided to turn our makeup session into a technical training circuit to introduce families to our curriculum. We ended up with even more interest!

We’ve heard so many compliments regarding the quality of our existing players, how we train, how we play the game, how we teach soccer, the club’s culture, and our community. We’re truly blessed and overwhelmed by how God has provided for our club.

To wrap this up, we are excited about next year. We look forward to growing God’s kingdom and observing the growth in our players and teams. Let’s go, Wolfpack!

Several members of the Wolf Pack traveled to Maryville College this week for their annual Elite Soccer Camp. They had a blast!

One Lady Wolf came home with some hardware for winning the juggling contest with 320 juggles, and was also chosen MVP for her age group (U14/U15)!! ⚽

Great job, everyone! We are so proud of your effort and love watching you all grow.

Repetition leads to rhythm, and consistency creates confidence. The goal is to establish movement patterns that become automatic - skills that happen in the subconscious. Everything we do has a purpose - every skill we train applies directly to the game - every movement must be refined. Once these patterns are mastered, we keep working on them to get better - we can always improve...but don't take it from us...

Across Tennessee, tryouts for U13 and older players start this week. At East TN FC, we are on the lookout for 6th-10th-grade girls. If you're interested, or know someone who might be, please register through our website: https://easttnfc.com/

ETFC offers a unique environment. Not only are we a Christian club focused on developing young people of character, but we're also incredibly dedicated to each player's individual soccer development. It might be hard to understand, but the focus of a youth player's development (until they reach high school) should be centered on their relationship with the ball. If that doesn't happen, it's almost impossible to catch up. This entire philosophy is thanks to years of research around European training.

As you're evaluating prospective clubs, try to prioritize those clubs that focus on skills development and have a great culture. Look for coach and culture first, and encourage your player to give up control to Christ! See you on the pitch!
