Jesus taught if you seek, you find. Jesus did not teach “If you wonder you will find” or “If you are curious you will find.” Nope. Finding requires action, effort, and determination.

God took the initiative to redeem people so He could spend eternity with them. He did this by sending Jesus into the history of the world.

His message was first, the Creator of the universe loves them and second, yes, they need to apologize for hurting others those times when they were entirely self-centered.

God Always Wants Peace with You.

HAVE YOU, TODAY, WATERED GOD’S SEED NOW PLANTED IN YOU?

Once you open your heart to the goal of learning more about God through the Word, then, reading the Word is like having planted a seed. When you put potting soil in with regular dirt, then add some fertilizer, and then water the plant on a regular basis you help that plant to grow.

Watering the love of God in your heart takes place when you hear the Word preached and then meditate on it, spending time with other believers and accepting their love and friendship as expressions of God’s love for you,

Watering the love of God in your heart takes place when you study the Word and meditate on it in such a way you apply its meaning to yourself, your life, your relationships, and your sense of your purpose on earth. It is not enough to get saved. You have to water the seed of God, the Word of God in your heart so the roots of the Word reach deeper and deeper into your spirit until you live as Jesus lived on earth.

God Always Wants Peace with You -

When you are born again, living in the presence of God’s love for all eternity is your future.

There are many people, however, who attend church regularly, pay tithes, and give to various charities and do other good things who think that believing in God is enough to make it to Heaven. But, alas, it is not. Good works are a result of a living faith. But good works do not get you to Heaven. Mathew 7: 21-23 (KJV) quotes Jesus as saying...

21: “Not everyone that sayeth unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in Heaven.

22: Many will say unto me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?

23: And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Accepting Christ as your savior means that you recognize your selfishness that causes pain for others, as sin. Then you ask God to forgive all your selfishness. He does. You accept Jesus as your Savior and from then on, practice being unselfish in all your life events. God does not expect you to do this perfectly.

He does want you to build your understanding of Him, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit by learning from the Bible, by attending a Bible based church, by being around others who have accepted Christ as their Savior, and by taking time to experience His presence through prayer and meditation. That’s what’s next.

The life of the new believer is the same as for the experienced Christian, namely, building your relationship with God every day. (Rm 12:2).

Just imagine you are sitting next to someone you have known for years and with whom you are entirely comfortable. Your eyes are closed. Neither of you are talking. Yet, you know that person is with you, and you are comforted.

Being with God is like that.

God’s unconditional love means it does not matter how self-centered you have been. He will forgive you no matter what!
He has only one requirement. That is that you acknowledge that His son died on the cross so you would not have to experience eternal separation from His love.

In the face of selfishness (self-centered behavior that injures another person no matter how great or small the injury), God requires justice.
Never-the-less, the Bible makes clear God prefers mercy and forgiveness to justice. After all, He sent Jesus to die on the cross so He could spend eternity with you.
