WHO ARE WE? Here is our story..............

In 1976 in Kansas City, Missouri, Legendary Law Enforcement Trainer James Lindell put together the first system of Handgun/Long Gun Retention and Disarming that the law enforcement community had ever seen. It was in response to the painful number of officers that were disarmed and then shot and killed with their own weapons every year. The system made a tremendous impact on the that number and as a result, officers are much safer today. Out of these efforts was born, Lindell Aluminum Training Guns. A safe training weapon that provided realism did not exist when Mr. Lindell began developing his system. Working closely with a local foundry, he developed exact replicas of police fi****ms in cast aluminum. They were an immediate hit with serious trainers and law enforcement administrators who wanted to avoid the injury and death that typically accompany officers using real, "unloaded" weapons during training. Not only did they come close to the actual weight of the real thing, they felt like the real thing. As the years progressed, these weapons have also become a favorite among holster makers for their detail and their ability to remain impervious to the heating process involved in holster making. Recently, a full line of Plaque Guns has been added to the Lindell Training Gun line. These are highly polished "half guns" that are ideal for mounting on a plaque for a retirement or a shooting award at a gun club or a police department or academy. Both handguns and long guns can be made into plaque guns. We can provide the entire plaque, custom made and shipped to your door, or you can purchase the gun and have the plaque constructed at your local award shop. We know that there are many training guns on the market and most are made of plastic and have a light weight, plastic feel to them that detracts from the "realness" of the training.
