First, I want to start by saying THANK YOU to every single one of our members. ❤️
Without you, Elevate Fitness wouldn’t exist, and I’m genuinely eternally grateful for each and every one of you who chooses to make this your gym. Whether you’ve been here since we opened in 2013 or you joined yesterday — you are appreciated.
But let’s jump right into it… RESPECT.
I’ve always given respect immediately. However, respect can be taken away just as quickly — and once it’s gone, it takes a long time to earn back.
Please respect the gym, the equipment, our staff, and the other people who are here to work out.
If you’ve been a member for years, I absolutely understand that this place can start to feel like your second home. That’s something I’m proud of. But please remember that it is still a shared space. We need to make sure we’re creating room for everyone to have a good experience.
A few reminders:
• Supersets/circuits: If you’re using several pieces of equipment, especially if you’re moving around the gym, please be mindful of other members. If someone wants to work in, let them. You do not own the equipment simply because you’re using it.
• Shoes: Please bring appropriate shoes for the gym. Your mowing shoes, muddy shoes, or whatever you wore outside do not belong on the gym floor. Help us keep the facility clean.
• Back storage room: Absolutely NO ONE is permitted in the back storage area unless you have been specifically authorized to be there.
• Equipment/items: Nothing is to be removed from the facility without permission. If you want to borrow or use something for an event, workout, or anything else, that’s not necessarily a problem — but I need to know about it and approve it beforehand.
Unauthorized removal of equipment or property will result in membership cancellation and you will not be permitted back in the facility. Theft will not be tolerated and a report will be filed.
That also includes allowing people into the gym without paying the appropriate guest fee or having a valid guest pass. That is theft of membership access.
I work extremely hard to provide a clean, safe, welcoming, and affordable place for people to work on themselves. I want Elevate to be a place where everyone — regardless of experience, age, size, or fitness level — feels comfortable walking through the door.
So please respect the space, the equipment, the people, and the staff.
And one last thing: rudeness, disrespect, or treating staff or other members poorly will not be tolerated.
We can absolutely have a gym where people feel comfortable, know each other, joke around, and feel at home — while still respecting boundaries and the fact that this is a shared space.
I appreciate you all more than you know. ❤️
Let’s keep Elevate a place we’re all proud to call our gym.
