ATTENTON ALL GOLFERS
We would like to give a clear under stranding of cart traffic on the course and around the greens.
Golf courses in North Carolina must comply with federal Americans with disabilities act standards. While their are no specific medical prerequisites for playing a par 3, courses are required to make reasonable modifications for players with disabilities, including adaptive golf carts, accessible paths, and specialized cart rules.
Standard Health & Accessibility Guidelines
Access Routes: Courses must provide a continuous, unobstructed pathway (minimum 48 inches wide) connecting accessible parking to at least the forward tee box on each hole.
The 30-Foot Rule: Many NC clubs enforced a medical flag or accessibility policy. Golfers using handicapped flags are generally required to stay at least 30 feet from the edge of the green.
Par 3 Cart Restrictions: For turf protection and safety, most local courses mandate that golf carts-including those caring players with disabilities-stay strictly on the paved path on all par 3 holes.
