“It’s Saturday night, time to go out and party…”🎉🕺🏼

“Wait I can’t. I have to stick to this diet plan.”

How many times have you told yourself you can’t go out and enjoy life because you believe that if you have a few slices of pizza or some wings and a cold one that your results you’ve worked SOO hard for will disappear?

The truth is one night out is not going to kill your results (But multiple nights will, just don’t make it a habit). You gotta understand that if you give up the things you enjoy in life just to lose 20lbs, you won’t enjoy the journey and you might fall off the rails and be worse off than when you started. ☹️

Create a sustainable and enjoyable health journey for yourself. Treat yourself to a night out with friends every now and then. You need it. You deserve it. Go you! 👏🏼

Your training is killing your gains 🤯

When it comes to losing weight or building muscle, beginners usually make this mistake.

They start their fitness journey and think “the more I hit the gym, lift weights, and run the bigger stronger and more fit I’ll become!” 🏃🏻‍♂️🏋🏻‍♀️

A couple months down the line they start to fall off. Why? Because they are overtraining, doing too much and not prioritizing their recovery.

Here’s the thing, recover is so important. It’s where real growth and progress is made. 📈

So I encourage you to take a couple rest days during the week. I encourage you to get a full 7-8 hours of sleep. I encourage you to eat healthy foods for your body. I encourage you to drink your water.

The result will be that you will start to see real muscle growth, see the number on the scale drop, and overall just feel better! 🔥

What the difference between you and me? 🧐

Well, Here’s the truth. We are more alike that you think. You may see me on social media posting all these photos and videos and think “he’s so strong, he’s so in shape. Why can I be like that, I need to get into shape” 😔

In reality I’m NOT 100% perfect. The reality is, I don’t have a super strict diet, sometimes I enjoy some ice cream or brownies. Sometimes I half ass my workouts when I’m out of it.

Just because you see the good side does not mean there isn’t a bad side.
So when you look deeper and know the truth we are more similar than you think. We both have cravings for that cookie, we both slack on our workouts, we both feel unmotivated or not confident.

“Comparison is the thief of joy” 🥷

Remember that. Just because you see it on social media, doesn’t mean it’s the whole truth.

We are all the same in some way, shape or form. You probably hate cardio, so do I. You have a sweet tooth, so do I. You sometimes half-ass or skip a workout, so do I. Sometimes you go out with friends and enjoy the weekend, so do I.

Remember just because your favorite influencer doesn’t show themselves eating a bowl of ice cream or drinking a beer doesn’t mean that they don’t. 🍦🍺

I’m here to tell you that you and me have more in common that you think.

To lose weight you need to be in a calorie deficient.

You need to burn more calories than you eat. 🔥

Simple.

To sum it up:
Move more⬆️. Eat less⬇️.

Do you want to lose fat in that one problem area? 🙋🏻

Maybe it’s your stomach or your thighs or your arms.

Well unfortunately that will be quite hard to accomplish. But there is a caveat.

If you plan to target fat loss in a specific area like your stomach you will lose fat there but also other areas. Let me explain with an analogy: 🥛

Let’s say you have a glass of water which represents your body full of fat. You want to drink water (lose fat) in one area so you stick a straw in and drink. What’s going to happen? The water will go from the entire glass not just that one area, the same happens with your body fat.

So what can you do? Simply change your mentality and understanding. 🧠

“I can’t lose fat in just one area, but I can lose fat all over my body!”

So next time you try to target fat loss, just remember you can’t. You will lose fat all over, in general. Which, in my opinion, is much better than just one area!
