It’s almost time for tryouts! (The week of Feb 9)
Reminder: This Tuesday (Feb 3rd) after school until 4:30 is the optional intro clinic. I highly encourage all 6th graders and any 7th graders who have never cheered with me to attend. Even if you have previously cheered, if it was not with me, you really need to try to attend.
We will learn the basics of motions how to do specific jumps, as well as the counts that we use at CMS. We will NOT go over these things at the tryout clinic. You will be expected to know them and be ready to focus on learning the material for the tryouts.
I am working on calculating the teacher recommendations, behavior, attendance, and grade requirements, as well as double checking for physicals, so students please be checking for any emails regarding missing items.
IMPORTANT: Each participant must have at least one guardian on our tryout SportsYou group prior to tryouts. Please see the info paper that was sent home with the join code as I don’t want to post the code online and have random people in the group, or you may email me at [email protected] and indicate the student’s name for whom you are a guardian. This must be complete by Friday, Feb 6th, or the student will not be allowed to try out. We must be able to contact a guardian in case of an emergency. Thank you!
