YAW-YAN is the short name for "Sayaw ng Kamatayan", a real-time fighting system developed by Grand Master Napoleon "Nap" Fernandez in the late 60's and was formally recognized in 1970. YAW-YAN, at first glance, would look like Muay Thai due to the fact that we also use most of our Elbows and Knees to strike in addition to the Hands and Foot but differs in the hip-torqueing motion as well as the do

wnward-cutting nature of its kicks, and the emphasis on delivering attacks from long range (while Muay Thai focuses more on clinching).
