Bones BJJ Academy We are a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy located in Clifton, NJ striving to create a friendly mat environment, while giving World Class Jiu Jitsu instruction.

Bones Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy is an affiliate school of Unity Jiu Jitsu in NYC. Different divisions, same mission: show up prepared and ready to perform our best at No-Gi Pans and the AIGA Global Series.

Starting Jiu-Jitsu can already feel intimidating for both men and women. However generally men have the luxury of having more training partners their size to work with. For a woman, having their first experience training be primarily with men who may be bigger and stronger can make that first step even harder.

That’s why we are proud of and believe our Women’s Only Class is so important.

We’ve created a safe, welcoming environment where women can train freely, build confidence, and learn alongside partners closer to their own size and strength. It’s the perfect introduction to Jiu-Jitsu, giving women the space to learn at their own pace, become comfortable on the mats, and discover everything this sport has to offer.

No experience is necessary. Just show up, take that first step, and grow with a community of strong, supportive women. 💙

We put genuine effort into serving every person who walks through our doors to the very best of our ability. Whether you’re a longtime member, a visitor dropping in, or stepping onto the mats for the first time.

Everyone deserves to feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued.

Great Jiu-Jitsu matters, but so does the environment in which it’s taught. We’re committed to building a strong community where people help one another improve, train safely, and leave the Academy better than when they arrived.

This class, isn’t just about learning techniques. It’s about building confidence, and community for the women who are already a part of Bones BJJ as well as those who aren’t, but are still looking to learn in an environment just for women.

Whether you’re completely new or already have experience, this class, this space, is designed for you. This class will be designed to be a place where you can challenge yourself without pressure and learn at your own pace.
