Uniform Fitting Info – Action Required!

We are so excited about our cheer uniforms this year! However, because signups were later than usual, we are on a tight timeline for uniform fitting.

Parents, please measure your cheerleader at home and email the measurements to

👉 IMPORTANT: Follow the new sizing instructions carefully!
We are using a different uniform company this year with a quicker turnaround time.
Do NOT use last year’s uniform size as a reference — the brand is different, and the fit may not be the same.

🚨 We had a great parent meeting last night and we are so excited for what is to come!📣
Registration is EXTENDED through Monday 7/7 for Pre-K through 5th Grade students!
We will have The fill the bow fundraiser this year and the page can be found in the comments.

📺 In addidion to scheduled once a week practices we will have an instructional youtube channel.
Our Clifton Junior Cheer YouTube Channel will feature instructional videos so cheerleaders can practice routines and chants at home!

We’re on a time crunch due to delays in getting the program back up and running, so please register ASAP! The final deadline for signups is Friday, July 4th.

Parent Meeting:
🗓 This Tuesday, July 1st at Texas Luxury Land (downtownown Clifton) 134 N. Ave. D

Join Assistant Director, Jessica Seely and I for an in-person meeting where we’ll answer all questions, discuss plans for this season, and introduce our Fill the Calendar fundraiser.

Important:

The minimum age for cheer this year is 4 years old. Unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions to this rule.

We are excited about this season and feel we’ve learned so much from last year to improve everything moving forward.

After some parents reached out and we were able to come up with a better plan, cheer is back! We have some great ideas on how to make this work for everyone involved and we are excited to share the ideas with you! The parent meeting details are found below.
The meeting minutes will also be posted for those who can not attend.

Good morning-
After much thought and prayer, I have made the decision to step down from cheer director. I have enjoyed the past year and I am grateful to those who allowed me to get to know your kids and coach them.
With four kids between my husband and I and middle school and high school sports starting, I do not feel that I would be able to give my all to this program.
With that being said, we are looking for a new cheer director! I am happy to help with the transition and share my ideas for this season to make it a bit smoother. I am still happy to help but can not lead. I have been in touch with the uniform rep and she is ready to do a fitting as we come up with a director.
If you are interested, please reach out to Josh Tracey or Me! I will provide you with all the cheers and resources and help you need.

Hi all!
Many of you have asked about cheer for this coming season and the signups will start the first week of May!

I will still be the Director of Cheer but my goal and HOPE is that I will have coaches for each team. You do NOT have to have a cheer background to coach! I’ll teach the material and make sure you are well prepared for each game . We will do one practice a week all together and the coaches will be over their own teams for games.

Parade route and information!

Below is the homecoming parade route and some other information:

1. Lineup will start at 5:30pm in the visitors parking lot of the football stadium.

2. Parade will begin at 6:00pm

3. Some of the side streets along the route will start being closed at around 5:00pm. DO NOT go through the police tape. We will be unhappy with you if you do.

4. NO PARKING will be allowed in the visitor side stadium lot. It will be closed for parade floats only. If you have a child riding on a float, you will have to drop them off in front of the high school. You WILL NOT be able to pull into the parking lot.

5. If you are a parade float, please enter the parking lot from FM 3220.

6. Ave Q will be closed at Olsen Blvd starting at 5:30pm. You will not be able to get into the parking lot of the school from this direction.

7. IF YOU ARE LINED UP ALONG AVENUE Q BETWEEN OLSEN AND HACKBERRY STREET, DO NOT DRIVE LEFT TOWARDS HACKBERRY ONCE THE PARADE HAS PASSED YOU. THE PARADE WILL RETURN DOWN THIS STREET. JUST STAY PUT UNTIL THE PARADE PASSES YOU FOR THE SECOND TIME, OR TURN RIGHT TO GO BACK TOWARDS THE HIGH SCHOOL. IF YOU TURN LEFT WE ARE GOING TO POINT AT YOU AND YELL FOR YOU TO STOP AND TURN AROUND, AND YOU WILL DISRUPT THE PARADE. DONT BE THAT PERSON!

8.The pep rally will be at the football stadium after the parade.

9. There will be NO PARKING on the visitor side of the stadium for the pep rally. This will remain closed so that all of our parade floats can get back in and unload safely.

10. You may enter the bonfire area through the baseball complex. Please be respectful of our youth complex. Parking will be allowed anywhere around the brush pile.

(Once again, the bonfire is NOT a CISD or City of Clifton sponsored event. This is a parent organized event.)
