GVL Hardcourt Bike Polo is an all ages, all gender sport that is played with a mallet, a bike, and a brain bucket! Check out our website!

You'll make new friends, have fun, and get in some exercise! Currently looking for a regular outdoor court to play! Greenville Bike Polo Association is a registered Non-Profit. Our Mission: To grow the sport of Bike Polo in our community for all ages, levels and abilities. To organize competitive tournaments and educational training sessions to improve players skills while encouraging a healthy lifestyle, fair sportsmanship, competitiveness, and a sense of acceptance.

Inspired by the real ad Iceland posted looking for bad photographers to prove anyone can take good pictures in Iceland, we want to prove bike polo isn’t as hard as it looks. 🏑🚴🏻‍♀️

Come play with us at Gateway Park in TR 🐰 on Saturdays starting around 2pm until we get tired or the lights go out.

The 2026 Carolina Winter League is complete. 🏆

It started in February, we traveled around to three cities where six teams and our brilliant community showed up to make it happen.

Congratulations to The Golden Ghouls 🌟👻🏆 on taking first place, and to every team that competed across the season. Swipe to see final standings, results from the finals day, our special award winners, MVPs, and the people who made it all run.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, who cooked, set up, broke down, reffed, judged goals, and kept time and score. This was the first Carolina Winter League, and it worked because you were willing to try something new and put in the work to see it through.

We’re so proud of this community. See you on the court.

April – Conditioning 💪

April is all about bike polo conditioning: building endurance, staying sharp, and keeping up when the game gets long.

Day 3 and the seeding matches of the 2026 Carolina Winter League is complete.

Five games, six teams, and one very close finish between “Good Luck with That!” and Southeast of Heaven (12–13 if you missed it).

Thank you to every player, volunteer, and spectator who came out to GVL and made it happen.

Southeast of Heaven still leads the standings, but three teams are right behind them at 6 points, and anything can happen in the finals.

Next up: Day 4 (finals!) on April 12th hosted again by GVL Bike Polo in Travelers Rest.

Fit Check! 💅

Bike polo is a contact sport so we wear a helmet, gloves, and elbow/knee pads. This keeps us in the game and feeling good to show up next week too. Some of us ride clip-less, but flat-soled shoes are our best friend for gripping pedals.

Then, bring a koozie for whatever we’re drinking 👀, and grab a bubbly water, electrolytes, and a banana from the bunch that someone brought to share.

Now you know how to play and hang like a Swamp Rabbit. 🏑🚲🐇

Five games, six teams, and way less rain than Day 1 (but not none).

We’re incredibly grateful for every player, volunteer, and spectator who came out and made this event happen.

Southeast of Heaven leads the standings after Day 2, but the scores tell the story: this field is tight! We’re looking forward to seeing how things shake out once every team has faced each other.

Next up: Day 3 on March 22nd in Greenville.

Day 1 of the 2026 Carolina Winter League is complete.

Five games, six teams, and a forecast that turned out to be mostly wrong (in a good way).

The rain held off through the bulk of the day and we’re grateful for every player, volunteer, and spectator who came out and made it happen.

Purple Reign leads the standings after Day 1, but the scores tell the story: this field is tight! We’re looking forward to seeing how things shake out once every team has faced each other.

Next up: Day 2 on March 8th in Charlotte.
