A better puck pickup starts with the angle you take to the puck!!!

If you skate straight at it, you often have to slow down or stop before making your next play. By approaching the puck at a better angle, you can maintain your speed through the pickup and escape pressure much more effectively.

Shawn works through this with one of our defensemen, focusing on carrying speed through the puck and being ready to make the next play.

It’s a small detail that can make a big difference as the game gets faster.

Closing out summer camp season with two great weeks on the ice!!!

Our Scoring & Stickhandling Camp gave players the chance to focus on two major parts of the offensive game, building confidence with the puck and creating more scoring opportunities.

Then Mite Mania brought it back to the fundamentals for our younger players with skating, stickhandling, passing, shooting and plenty of time to just enjoy the game.

A great way to wrap up an awesome summer at The Hockey Hut. Thank you to every player and family who spent part of their summer with us! ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

A LOOK BACK AT ALL SKILLS CAMP ✅ AUGUST 10TH-13TH

Four days of getting back on the ice, putting in quality reps, and working on all areas of the game. Skating, puck handling, shooting, passing, defensive skills and everything in between.

The effort and energy from this group was awesome all week. A lot of hard work, a lot of improvement, and a great way to get ready for the season ahead.

Two camps. Two locations. One great week of hard work.

Last week, we hosted Bantam Transition Camp at The Hockey Hut and Tactical Power Skating Camp up in Glens Falls. From learning how to play through contact with confidence to building stronger, more efficient skating mechanics, our athletes showed up ready to work every day.

An awesome week of camps, hard work, and progress. Great job to every athlete who hit the ice with us!
