The Cleveland Vanguard opened up their 2023 season with a 12-10 victory over Rocky River and a 10-0 loss to Westpark. Starting the year off 1-1… I’ll take it.

When asked which coach they wanted to practice tackling, the response was an emphatic ".rutledge86 he got small legs and he's soft."

Form and intensity got better as they went. Some of those hits actually tickled a little.

The boys had moved results this weekend. The day started with a match plagued by mental errors that resulted in a 32-10 loss to Rocky River. After a little extra motivation, the boys stormed back with a 34-0 win over Highland.

Following the final match for the day the team celebrated at . A few meals make every victory a little sweeter.

Sun's out, guns out. The boys practiced applying, and working under, pressure yesterday in preparation for the final weekend of competition on Sunday.

The boys take the field at 3:00pm and 4:15pm. Come to Ignatius and cheer on the boys as the match towards reclaiming their City Championship.
