Save the date OCTOBER 14th, Smoky Mountain Fields at Eagleton.
The proceeds from this tournament will be given to LLS (Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) in honor of Parker Pass. Parker was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia July 18, 2016 at the age 4.
Before diagnosis he was your typical, rowdy, little softball brother who lived at ball tournaments on the weekends. He began suddenly getting weaker, more pale, and having unexplained pain which eventually led to his diagnosis.
Parker has done extremely well and responded perfectly to chemo!! However, the treatment for Leukemia is tough and lasts for years (3 to be exact). Parker was extremely sick during his first 9 months of aggressive treatment and wasn't even able to leave the house except for chemo visits. He is now in the maintenance phase of his protocol, has been in remission for a year, and not as sick, but he will continue to receive chemo in his port and spine until Sept 2019. As a family watching our child become a warrior and fight for his life we have decided we will also fight!! We will fight back at this beast that has hurt our child and so many other warriors we have grown to love. We are going to do everything we can to make advances in the treatment process. There must be a better way!! LLS has given millions toward research and has recently released a groundbreaking new treatment for Leukemia that wouldn't have happened without money from people like you for research. The LLS motto is "Someday is Today" and if we all give a little we can change how we face this beast called cancer. Please sign your team up to play some ball and let's kick some cancer b***y!! I am so thankful to say that Parker will be running around at this tournament because so many people cared enough to give in the past toward research. Now Parker is thriving and on his way to being cured!!🎗
