For the past six years, I’ve been deeply involved with Cleveland Youth Football and Cheer. As many of you know, my son is currently facing a pretty intense and extremely rare medical issue with his ankle, and because of that, he and I have made the decision to step away from the football field this season so we can focus on his health and recovery. Sawyer’s road to recovery will take some time (Docs have said approx 6 months). Family always comes first, and right now that’s where our attention must be.
That being said, I will still remain involved behind the scenes in an oversight, mentorship, and accountability role as Josh Casebolt steps into leadership of the league. Josh will have myself and Jake Brisbin serving as an advisory council, and we’re excited about the future of Cleveland Youth Football and Cheer and the direction we’re headed.
This year, we plan to offer:
🏈 1st & 2nd Grade Football
🏈 3rd & 4th Grade Football
🏈 5th & 6th Grade Football
📣 Cheer divisions alongside each age group
As we move into this new season, we are actively looking for coaches, volunteers, and community leaders to help build a positive experience for these kids. Over the years, many families have aged out or moved away, so we’re needing people willing to step up and invest in the next generation.
If you are interested in:
• Coaching
• Volunteering
• League leadership
• Sponsorship opportunities
• Or simply learning more and asking questions
…we invite you to attend a Q&A meeting next Monday, May 11th, at 7:00 PM at The 205 Venue, located at 205 South Broadway (south of TH Rogers)
We’re looking forward to a great season and building something our community can be proud of.
Thanks
Chris
