Your Wolves and Lady Wolves added some more hardware to the trophy case today! Not the best showing overall, but we’ll take ‘em however they come! We’re back in action on Tuesday at Fannin Lanes again to take on Madison Central in a regular match. Start time is 3:30, and if you could be there to support these kids they’d greatly appreciate it!

A little late getting this out, but better late than never! The Wolves and Lady Wolves have started this season 2-0 with victories over Oxford and Neshoba Central. We'll be on the road the remainder of the December, but you can catch us at home after Christmas! Come out and support the guys and girls as they attempt to bring another championship home this season!

Mr. Eddie was, without a doubt, instrumental in getting this program to where it is today. Always so supportive of the kids and I know they felt a connection with him as well. We are extremely saddened by this loss and extend our deepest condolences to his children and grandchildren, as well as all of the Harmony family as they begin to navigate the world without him.

It is with great sadness, and deep sorrow, that I write to inform you all that our owner, Edward Gong, has closed his eyes here on Earth for the final time, and that he is now rejoicing in the presence of our Heavenly Father and Penney Gong. I want to thank each and every one of you who lifted him up in prayer, and sent words of encouragement. It truly meant the world to the family.

He has finished his race. Prayers for the family and Harmony FEC staff. 🙏🤍🕊️

Are you or your child looking for another athletic opportunity at Cleveland Central High School? How about one that:

a) is a highly competitive, yet laid back sport that you will be able to participate in for life.
b) has sustained success over the entire existence of the program.
c) makes appearances in the state championship each year.
d) has had 4 MAC All-Stars in two years.
e) has three (3) State Runner-up finishes since 2019.
f) won the 2022 Class II State Championship, the only team state championship in Cleveland Central history.

✅✅✅✅✅✅ Cleveland Central Bowling checks ALL of those boxes! We are looking to build off of a successful year in which the girls finished 3rd in the state and the boys finished 2nd in Class II (5A/6A). We will have an interest meeting for both parents and interested student athletes next Thursday, May 23 at 5:30 PM at Harmony FEC (the bowling alley).

Please reach out to Coach Wade McLemore if you have any questions or concerns at the email listed on the graphic. We look forward to seeing all of you there!

If you’d like to follow along with our guys today or if you know someone else in today’s Mississippi Association of Coaches All Star Tournament, we are live streaming on the MAC Network. There were some technical difficulties with the Girls tournament yesterday, but those seem to have been resolved. There are two channels; one will have lanes 5-8 and the other will show lanes 9-12. Bowlers shift during this Tournament, so you will have to change streams at some point in order to continue watching the same bowlers. Cleveland Central High School’s Jayden Moore drew lane 7 (channel one) and David Wardlow, Jr drew lane 12 (channel two) to start.

Yesterday, the Wolves and Lady Wolves Bowling teams finished their season in the MHSAA Class II State Championship tournament. The Wolves came back from an early deficit to take 2nd place in a great field of competition. We’ll celebrate the finish, but we’re hungry for more and we’ll be back. Thanks again to our seniors Hayden Washington and Laterrionous Ramiz for their efforts and contributions to the program! Congratulations to all of our Wolves bowlers on the fantastic season, which they finish with a 9-3 record, including one regular season tournament win and another runner up.

The Lady Wolves got off to an incredibly rough start, posting numbers that put them in last place after game 1. In games 2-4, they battled all the way back to take 3rd place in the final standings of the state championship with a very young team. The young ladies on this team have a resolve like no other and while they don’t get a trophy for a 3rd place finish, this was an incredible effort to get themselves back into the mix and finish the day on a very positive note. This makes back to back years with a 3rd place finish for the Lady Wolves for a team with NO seniors on the roster. As we continue to learn how to win, we know the future is bright for our program. Congratulations ladies on a great season, which they finished with a 9-2 record and one third place finish in a regular season tournament.

We are all looking forward to the future with these young bowlers and hope to continue to build upon our legacy. Over the years, the Wolves and Lady Wolves have achieved the following:

Girls
1x Class II Regional Championship (2021)
4x Class II Regional Runner-up (2018, 2019, 2020, 2023)
2x Class II State Runner-up (2019, 2020)
3x Class II State 3rd Place (2018, 2023, 2024)

Boys
1x Class II Regional Championship (2024)
4x Class II Regional Runner-up (2018, 2019, 2020, 2023)
1x Class II State Runner-up (2024)
1x Class II State Champion (2022)

In the span of 7 seasons, we have established this program as one of the strongest in the state in Class II. We will keep working to uphold our reputation and excel on the lanes! Many thanks to Edward Gong and Harmony FEC for hosting our team as well as to Charles Van Daley and David Wardlow, who have volunteered countless hours of their time and helped to mold some of these young bowlers into the excellent team we have today.

After a tough day on the lanes, the Wolves and Lady Wolves battled back and were able to finish in a respectable 2nd and 3rd. We struggled to find our footing early and just flat out did not have our best. We congratulate Hancock and Long Beach on their victories today, and we are looking forward to next year already. Huge thanks to our seniors Hayden Washington and Laterrionous Ramiz for their contributions to the team’s success over the years and we absolutely wish them the best as they look forward to graduation!
