A drowning can happen in as little as 21 seconds.

It’s quick and often silent. With summer almost here, ISR swim lessons are an important step in helping keep your child safer in the water.

🚨HEARTBREAKING: 3-Year-Old Twins Charlie and Jax Smith Drown in Freak Pond Accident in Georgia: A Pain No Parent Should Ever Face.

Folks, this one hits me like a freight train to the chest. Three-year-old twins Charlie and Jax wandered from their mama’s house in Cordele, Georgia, and drowned in a pond out back.

Just a tragic freak accident.

Those precious babies are with Jesus now, but the pain their family is feeling is unimaginable.

As a Papa Bear, I can’t fathom it. Angie, Dave, and everybody, my heart is shattered for you. It’s a brutal reminder how fast things can go wrong with little ones.

Hug your kids tight tonight, check your fences and doors, and pray hard for this family that’s already been through hell.

Rest in peace, sweet Charlie and Jax. You were loved more than you’ll ever know.

God hold that family close.

Can we all say a prayer for them today?

“I can’t believe you’d put your kids in ISR, it’s so traumatic!!”

No… you know what’s traumatic? Losing your child.

ISR (Infant Swimming Resource) teaches babies as young as 6 months how to survive in the water if the unthinkable happens. Not just “swim” but survive.

The focus isn’t on swimming laps. It’s on floating. Because swimming is exhausting for little bodies. They learn to swim just enough to turn themselves onto their back, float, breathe, and rest. Then repeat. That’s what saves lives.

Lessons are only 10 minutes a day.

Is it hard at first? Yes, mostly for the parents. Watching your child learn something new is uncomfortable sometimes. But within days, something clicks. They gain confidence. They understand what to do.

And by the end?
They can fall into the water fully clothed, shoes and all, and know how to save themselves.

That is worth the price and commitment to me.

Kentucky parents: before you pack for that Florida spring break trip, read this 💔

Vinny was 2.5 years old. Done swimming. In his pajamas. Adults nearby. Older kids in the pool.

He drowned in 30 SILENT seconds.

"If I had just known the pool was the biggest threat to his life..." his mom, Ashley, told me.

What you need to know:
•Drowning is SILENT (not like the movies)
• Takes 20-30 seconds
• Happens 70% of the time when NOT swimming
• Puddle jumpers ≠ safety

Ashley's mission now? Making sure Kentucky parents understand what she learned too late ⤵️

🏊‍♀️ Survival Swim Isn’t Traumatic — Losing a Child Is.

Drowning is the #1 cause of death in
children ages 1–4.
It’s fast.
It’s silent.
And it’s preventable.

One of the most powerful tools we have to protect our children is survival swim lessons.
But many parents hesitate…
Because they’re afraid it might be traumatic.

Let’s talk about that.

💬 “Isn’t survival swim traumatic?”
It’s one of the most common concerns we hear — and it comes from a misunderstanding.

What survival swim is not:
It’s NOT throwing your child in and
hoping they figure it out
It’s NOT harsh or neglectful
It’s NOT about fear

✅ It is gentle.
✅ It is one-on-one.
✅ And it’s taught by certified instructors trained to work at your child’s pace — especially for babies and children with special needs.

🧠 Survival swim is actually very similar to ABA therapy:
• It uses structure and repetition
• It’s individualized
• It builds confidence and independence
• It teaches real-world, life-saving skills

🔹 What age can children start?
As early as 6 months old. Yes — even infants can learn to float and survive in water.

These lessons are short (10–15 minutes), consistent (4–5 days a week), and designed to build lifesaving muscle memory.

They’ll learn to:
• Hold their breath
• Roll to their back
• Float independently
• Swim to safety if developmentally ready

This isn’t swim team training.
This is about survival.

💔 You know what is traumatic?
➡️ Waking up and your child is gone.
➡️ Finding them at the bottom of a pool.
➡️ Planning a funeral instead of a birthday.

We know — because we’ve lived it.

We teach about survival swim in honor of Judah, Bodhi and so many other children who never got the chance to learn.

🌈 Survival swim saves lives.
It’s not cruel.
It’s not scary.
It’s a gift.
One that could mean the difference between tragedy… and a miracle.

Please don’t let fear or misinformation keep you from protecting your child.
