Thhhhhhhhhats all folks!!! 2016 ARCA Truck season is a wrap. Final race recap and season recap. Overall Coyote Racing had an up and down 2016 but we fought through it all as a team and Even though we had our issues we still done pretty well. #26 (Me) Had an interesting final weekend, started off and the truck was JUNK, at the bottom of the charts in 1st hot laps, worked hard on it and got a little better in qualifying but still not good, Qualified P7 of 15. Kept working on it truck was bad loose. Won the Fast Heat Race truck was a bit better, Kept working on it and by feature had it much gooder but ended up on the tight side. Started P7 in the 125 lapper. By about lap 20 worked my way through the field and got Cody on the inside after he got loose to take the lead. Started to click laps off and went into turn 1 around lap 25-30 range and truck wouldn't turn, lost power steering so Shawn Szep got under me and I just let the inside go and relaxed into around 5th and made laps. Moved to 4th at the 1/2 way break. Restarted 4th, just got in a groove and clicking laps off saving energy. About 80 laps in it was time to Man up and get on the wheel. Slowly work my way to 2nd, tried to run with that 81 truck but with no power steering just had nothing for him so just wheeled her the best I could to hang on for 2nd. For the season points I moved back up and finished 2nd in Points. All in all happy with the results but had some issues this year that got me behind and chasing all year. The 32 Truck Brian Taylor had an up and down final race, starting P8 ended up getting a flat still fought hard working his way to 3rd. Unfortunately had an issue with a miss that got worse and had to retire to the pits on lap 108 ending up in 10th. As for his year, a great rookie year claiming ROOKIE of the YEAR along with a 5th place in points. The 99 truck only made a couple races this year, Lorain speedway with Rick Funnell behind the wheel doing a good job in his 1st Truck start, staying on lead lap until a couple laps before the checkers and got collected in a late race mishap. At Lake County the 99 had Jeremy Hill behind the wheel and he showed improvement all day long and come feature time he started towards the back but got comfortable in the truck and drove it up into the top 5. Unfortunately got involved in a couple race incidents that led to a questionable black flag and end of his night. But all in all he done a great job for the 1st time in the truck. So at the end of the day it was a pretty good season for Coyote Racing... Thanks to all that helped us this year... THAT'S A WRAP FOLKS!!!
