THURSDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
*no afternoon classes

We have moved our event from Friday to Thursday. We will put the workout details for the event once CrossFit released the workout at 2:00 pm. The workout will be live announced via their youtube channel. I hope all can come and watch and/or participate in the event. We will begin at 5:30 with a short briefing of the workout. As always, heat times will be available on a first come first serve basis in the gym. You will be given adequate time to warm up prior to your heat beginning. Depending on the amount of participation, I will adjust heats as needed to keep the event running flawlessly, so be prepared for anything for those wishing to participate. There will be no afternoon classes. I hope to see you all come and see our event. Please be encouraging and respectful to all those participating. This is a fun, world wide event! We already have some impressive numbers put up against the world from week 1. Looking forward to the announcement tomorrow to see what week 2 has in store for us! See you all tomorrow night. Come join us this Friday night as our members take on Open workout 24.1.

What is the Open?
the Open is a series of workouts spaced across three weeks. Individuals can do the workouts from anywhere: their affiliates, at home, or even in a park.

The Open follows the same cadence each week. The workout is released on the Games website on Thursdays at 12 p.m. (noon) Pacific Time, and you have until Monday at 5 p.m. PT to do the workout and submit your score online. At the end of each week, you can see where you stack up against the world, in your age group, and within your division by viewing the worldwide Games Leaderboard.

What if I can’t do the workout listed?

The Open is for everyone, and it serves athletes in a variety of ways. For most, the Games season is complete after three weeks of the Open and is a standalone yearly endeavor. For others, the Open serves as the first qualifying round for additional competition.

There are variations of each workout to fit everyone’s fitness level. Rx, scaled, foundations.

Rx’d - Do the workouts as written. This is the most challenging option, yet many individuals have moved from scaled to Rx’d as they progress from year to year.

Scaled - Not quite ready to tackle the workouts as written? No problem. The scaled division offers classic scaling options for many of workouts common gymnastics movements and includes lighter loading.

Foundations - Just started your fitness journey or maybe this is your first Open workout? The foundations workouts are a great place to start.
