A few clips/stages from a match today. Not a bad day, but made some mistakes that need improvement. Got to shoot with some buddy’s/fellow officers today in the squad Sean Padraic and Jason Anthony. It was a good time as always! The grind of trying to change the training culture and mentality in law enforcement continues!

Fun times, as usual, at the crooked creek match today. I shot a new steel frame gun in limited optics division today which was cool. It took some getting used to as I usually shoot polymer framed guns. Took 1st in my division and 3rd overall. Had 1 miss (steel that didn’t fall) and 1 delta. As always…….the work continues.

Progress…………………..but as always………..the work continues. Every LE officer and/or instructor should be putting their skills to the test in the practical shooting setting. Even if it means failing or losing in front of your peers. Thanks to guys like XA and velox_training_group and Ben Stoeger I’ve learned to adopt this training methodology and it has changed the dynamics of the culture.

Fun match at CCPL today. I got to shoot with some friends which always makes things more enjoyable. I had some really good runs today with a GM classifier score!!!. I like that a lot of clubs are adding one handed shooting into the mix. It makes it very interesting. As always, the work continues.

Match Day! A lot of mistakes and some good things as well. Hopefully pulled off Master class in CO today, but we will see officially later this week!

Took first place in limited optics division at a local USPSA match today. Third place overall. I felt like I did really well today on all my stages except for a couple minor mistakes. Had a few deltas that I need to take care of. Good way to end the week.

Good practice session tonight at steel match. Shot limited optics, carry optics and pcc. It was my first time shooting pcc and it was fun. Might make a habit out of it. This was also a good recovery training session after my last USPSA match which was a disaster. As always………the work continues.

Been focusing a lot on dry fire and putting in extra time on it at home whenever I can. Testing out the progress in live fire practice and in matches. Mistakes are starting to become more clear when they are made, which gives me a clear goal for my next training session. These postings are from the past few dynamic steel matches and a USPSA match I was in recently. As always…………..back to work.
