Rock City Hockey – Spring 2026 Programs Now Open

As winter seasons wrap up, we’re excited to offer two spring pathways for high school players looking to stay sharp and continue competing.

Steel Kings Premier 20U (Birth Years 2006–2010)
• Tryout-based team
• Competing in the Michigan Pre-Draft Showcase (May 1–3, Trenton, MI)
• Built for players pursuing junior or college-level hockey
• Short, focused spring window

16U / 18U Post Season Program (Birth Years 2007–2010, limited 2011s)
• Weekly team practices (March–mid April)
• Optional Cleveland-area tournaments (à la carte format)
• Flexible structure — compete without overloading your schedule
• Great option for graduating seniors who want a few more games before graduation

Whether you’re looking for a high-level showcase opportunity or a structured way to stay on the ice this spring, we have options.

Congratulations to Mentor High School standout (and Steel Kings) goaltender Alex Toth on signing with the Columbus Mavericks of the USPHL. Best of luck to Alex on the next phase of what has been a bright career thus far.

Mavericks Head Coach & General Manager, Nate Handrahan, announced Saturday morning, that Northeast Ohio Goaltender, Alex Toth, has signed on with the Mavericks for the 2020-21 season.

First and foremost I hope that everyone is doing well. This is certainly a strange and scary time and like everyone I hope that we are all a bit safer with the measures we have taken.

That being said, I also miss not being on the ice and want to prepare for the return once we are able to do so. I have prepared a quick survey that I am asking everyone to please fill out – overall it will only take 2 minus to complete but will help us in starting to plan for the return.
