Cleveland Aquatics is proud to welcome Trey Parris as the new head coach of the swim team. Trey began his swimming career at age 6 as a Cleveland Aqua Tiger summer swimmer before progressing to USA Swimming and high school competition. His passion for the sport led him to compete at Notre Dame College for two years, where he set the school record in the 50 backstroke, was a member of the record-setting 200 freestyle and 200 medley relay teams, and contributed to two conference championship teams. He later transferred to the University of Tennessee, where he earned his graduate degree in accounting with a minor in finance.
Throughout his development as an athlete, Trey also gave back to the sport by mentoring younger swimmers as an Aqua Tiger during the summers. In 2021, he became the head coach of the Cleveland Aqua Tiger summer swim team. After completing his degree, he returned in the fall of 2025 to assist with coaching at Cleveland Aquatics.
Coach Trey brings ambitious goals and high standards to the program. His passion for Cleveland and its swimmers is evident in his daily commitment on deck. We are excited to have him lead our team and wish him great success in the years ahead.
