Dekaiyeiyah Foundation Donates Training Materials, Reflective Jackets to B**g Basketball Team, Motorcyclists
The Dekaiyeiyah Foundation has donated basic training materials and a stopwatch to the B**g County Basketball Team, along with reflective jackets to a group of motorcyclists in Gbarnga.
The donations were made on Saturday, September 12, at the David Kuyon Sports Stadium in Gbarnga, as part of the foundation’s efforts to support sports development and promote road safety in the county.
Making the presentations, the Foundation’s Executive Director, Lawrence Anniway, said the basketball materials are intended to strengthen the county’s team ahead of the upcoming National County Sports Meet.
He said the reflective jackets are aimed at improving the visibility of motorcyclists while navigating the busy streets of Gbarnga and its environs, particularly at night.
Anniway, who recounted his twelve years of involvement in motorcycling, emphasized that the proper use of reflective jackets could help minimize the risk of nighttime traffic accidents.
He disclosed that the donated materials were procured through the foundation’s lobbying efforts with goodwill individuals and pledged to continue seeking support from outside communities to benefit people in need in B**g County.
The Foundation Executive Director also urged the motorcyclists to appreciate the intervention, stressing that some individuals have the resources to help others but do not identify with those in need.
He expressed disappointment over complaints from some motorcyclists about the time spent waiting for the presentation, noting that such criticisms could discourage efforts to seek assistance for vulnerable groups.
Meanwhile, representatives of the B**g County Basketball Team and the benefiting motorcyclists expressed appreciation to Annaway and the Dekaiyeiyah Foundation for the donations.
They promised to use the materials for their intended purposes.
