Good afternoon and hello to the weekend!!!!!

We made it through! Despite all the rain trying to throw a wrench in our plans, we prevailed and got evaluations wrapped up this week! 🎉🌧️🏆

A huge thank you to all of our amazing parents and families for your patience, flexibility, and support through the weather delays. We couldn't do this without you!

We also want to give a massive shoutout to our coaches. Thank you for stepping up and taking valuable time away from your personal lives and weekends to make evaluations and this weekend's drafts run smoothly and on schedule. We appreciate your dedication to our kids and league so much! ❤️

What Happens Next:

Coach Contacts: Every family will be contacted by their head coach next week with team details!

Required Apps: Please go ahead and download two essential apps for the upcoming season:

SportsEngine: Used for direct league updates and team communication from your coaches.

GameChanger: Where all game schedules, times, and field information will be posted.

Team Threads: Your individual coach may also set up a team text thread, so keep an eye out for details when they reach out.

Important Note on Weather Updates & Field Service: Please keep in mind that cellular service at Hancock Park has historically been very unreliable. Whenever we have to cancel games due to weather or other unexpected reasons, we will be posting immediate updates on Facebook as well as sending out an email.

We strongly encourage all parents and families to follow/join our page if you haven't already. Having Facebook ensures that even if an email gets delayed or missed, you won't miss any urgent league communications!

🥎 Final Night of Make-Up Evaluations! 🥎

After much deliberation and and coordinating with coaches who were available to help, tonight is the final opportunity for make-up evaluations for 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, and Seniors.

Please note: There will be no camps tonight - only make-up evaluations. We still have a large number of athletes who have not been evaluated, so please do your best to attend if your player has not yet completed an evaluation. We want to see everyone's talent so we can create teams that are as fair and evenly matched as possible! If you are unable to make it please do not stress as they will still be drafted to a team.

Important Details
Time: 6:00-9:00 PM
We plan to start with the younger age groups starting at 6 but if you can come at anytime during these hours we will make it work. We have had to evaluate over 200 girls so thank you for everyones patience.

Pacing: We're planning for the worst-case scenario, but we'll keep things moving as efficiently as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to make last week and this week the best experience possible for all 200 of our softball families. We're looking forward to a fantastic season, and team information will be sent out next week!

Registration officially closed last night! A huge thank you to all our coaches, volunteers, and parents for your incredible support and patience throughout this process. It truly takes a village!

Please read the important updates below regarding this evening's schedule:

🥎 Practice & Evaluation Schedule (This Evening)
Open CAMP for registered girls (All Age Groups): 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM to get some practice time in.

10U Make-ups: If you are in 10U and missed yesterday, we will be doing your make-up evaluations tonight. Note: If you are in 10U and have not yet been evaluated, please see a board member tonight.

12U Evaluations: Promptly at 6:00 PM.

14U / SR Evaluations: Starting at 7:00 PM.

⚠️ Weather Notice: If weather conditions are bad, we will shift evaluations to Thursday as needed. We will keep everyone posted!

📋 Next Steps & Draft Timeline
Drafts: Once evaluations are finalized, we will begin drafting towards the end of the week.

Coach Notifications: Coaches will reach out to players early next week.

🎉 Great News, Softball Families! 🎉

Due to popular demand and so many requests, registration has officially reopened until Tuesday at 11:59 PM! If you haven't signed up yet or know someone who wants to play, now is your chance! We will not accept any late registrations after it closes.

Here is what you need to know for this week:

🥎 Evaluations & Camp: We will resume camp and evals on Tuesday and Wednesday, and possibly Thursday (pending weather) Camp will run from 6-9pm for 10U and up and 6-7:30 for 6 & 8U. We encourage players in all age groups to come out and finish up their evaluations on Tuesday and Wednesday. When you arrive please go to the tables to check in even if you checked in last week.

🥎 Can't Make It? No Problem! If your player cannot attend evaluations, please do not worry. Every girl will still be placed fairly and drafted equally onto a team!

🥎 Drafts & Teams: We will begin drafting teams this week! Once drafts are complete, coaches will receive their rosters, and each parent will be contacted directly by their daughter's coach to welcome them to the team.

🌤️ Weather Updates: We are keeping a close eye on the forecast and will keep everyone posted on any weather-related changes or cancellations right here on our page.

Important Camp Schedule Update! 🚨

Hey everyone! I just want to clarify and update everyone on a few things….

CAMP is for all ages every single night even if your age group has already been evaluated. It is a chance for your girls to get some practice in and learn the ropes if you are new to softball. If you are unable to make it please do not fret, your daughter will be drafted to a team and the coaches will reach out to you after next Friday to welcome you.

As of now we are still having camp this evening. They will try to eval 10 & 12U if the weather permits. Again, if your daughter is not able to make the evals, it is completely fine and she will still be drafted team. If we get rained out again we will let every know via Facebook that it has been cancelled so please keep checking. We try to make the call as best as we can so please bear with us if it seems like we cancel last minute but we are doing our best to make the right decision.

Due to the crappy weather all week and our inability to draft tomorrow as planned, we are making a few adjustments to next week's schedule so we can wrap things up:
• 📅 We will attempt to roll a few of the missed camp days into next week starting on Tuesday. We will post the final days this weekend so stay tuned for the update.
• ⚡ Focus: We'll use those days to finish up our player evaluations.
• 📋 The Draft: The draft is officially moved to next week and will update the coaches once everything else is finalized.

Good afternoon, despite the infields being saturated with water the city has given us a go ahead to proceed with camp in the outfield!! Yay! As of right now camp is a go. Please see the board members at the registration tables and they will let you know where to go. Please note that we will post right away if the rain or lightning happens to get in the way once again!!! Thank you all for your patience 💙💙
