Produce of the Month: South Carolina Peaches! 🍑
There’s nothing quite like a South Carolina peach! 🍑☀️ Our state is known for its sweet, juicy peaches, making them a summertime favorite at farmers markets, roadside stands, and local grocery stores.
Peaches are delicious on their own or added to:
🥣 Oatmeal or yogurt
🥗 Salads and salsas
🍓 Smoothies
🍑 Desserts and baked dishes
Tip: Choose peaches that are fragrant and give slightly when gently pressed. For the best flavor, enjoy them fresh and in season!
Looking for South Carolina peach resources, including where to find local peaches and tips for preserving them? Check out Clemson Extension’s Peach Resources for Consumers:

As we bring National Breastfeeding Month to a close, here’s one reminder every parent deserves: your journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. 💛
From this month’s Ask a CLC conversation, we’re highlighting a few important truths:
• Every feeding journey is unique.
• Every drop of breast milk counts.
• Bonding goes beyond breastfeeding.
• Asking for help is a strength, not a failure.
• You are not alone. Support and resources are available.
There’s no one “right” way to feed your baby. What matters is finding what works for you and your family.
💬 Join us for our next Ask a CLC session on September 24th, 12-1 pm.

Meet the Team Monday!
This week, we're introducing Julianna Lyle, our Rural Health and Nutrition Extension Agent serving Anderson County! Julianna has been part of the Clemson Extension team for 4 years, providing health education, programs, and resources to families and communities.
Get to know Julianna:
• Coffee order: Black coffee—she's a self-proclaimed coffee addict!
• Favorite healthy meal: Balsamic chicken thighs with Brussels sprouts and roasted potatoes
• Favorite getaway: The Outer Banks of North Carolina
• Favorite team: Carolina Panthers
• Hobbies: Gardening, reading, cooking, and hiking
Fun Fact: Before joining Clemson Extension, Julianna spent two years working at a dairy—milking goats! 🐐
What she loves about her community: Being close to Clemson's campus, where there's always something happening and plenty of community energy.
And while Julianna doesn't have any pets, she does have two young boys who, in her words, sometimes “smell like wet puppies.” 😂
