Be safe out there….

Great weather has brought lots of golfers out to Cleburne Golf Links; and we love seeing the course busy!

However, even with recent rain, the native grasses are still very dry. Yesterday a cigarette was tossed into the native area between holes 7 & 11 and smoldered until it ignited. With quick help from the Cleburne Fire Department, staff, and golfers, the fire was contained, but winds still burned roughly a 75 x 30 yard section of native grasses.

Thankfully, no playing surfaces or structures were damaged.

Please fully extinguish ci******es and dispose of them properly.

Cleburne Golf Links has received about 4 inches of rain in the past two days and is currently closed while water drains from the greens. Once conditions allow, the course will open as a 9-hole layout (holes 1-4 and 14-18), carts will be path-only, the practice range will remain closed, and greens may be bumpy until drying and topdressing are complete. Thanks for your understanding!

Today is the last day to sign up for the Cleburne Junior Golf Championships. Entry forms must be turned in, with entry fee today by 5 p.m. Pairings will be posted by 7 p.m. and play begins on Monday, July 28, 2025 with the first groups teeing off at 8 a.m.

⛳️ 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞
Starting July 22, our maintenance team will begin top dressing the greens to improve putting conditions. This process involves spreading sand on the greens and working it in to smooth the surface.

We aim to finish all greens in 2 to 3 days with minimal impact on your round. Work begins daily at 6 a.m. and will continue as long as staff can stay ahead of play. Thank you for your patience as we work to keep Cleburne Golf Links in top shape!

Congrats to all the participants and winners!

Congratulations to all 83 contestants who took their shots at today's Local Qualifier for the Drive Chip and Putt Competition. Contestants enjoyed cool temperatures early one, but had to battle 25-30 mile per hour winds during the event.

Contestants earned points in each of three skills challenges based on distance and accuracy for the drive, and accuracy in the chip and putt skills events. The top two point winners advance to the Sub-Regional event at Shady Oaks Country Club to be held on July 14, 2025. The third place finisher serves as an alternate, should a qualifier not be able to compete.
