Tennis came out on top Thursday against Weatherford Tison winning 18-10. The top 3 girls rocked the courts with 6-0 sweeps --fantastic work, River Bell, Ana Trejo, and Loralai Rose. Ana and Loralai together also dominated in doubles again this week. The top 2 boys, Micah Ford and Lucas Andersen, battled it out with very exciting singles matches winning 6-1 and 6-3. We had a newcomer break out winning all 3 of his matches--way to go, Levi Rice.

Next game Wednesday here against Granbury!

Wheat hosted Granbury Middle School last night and came away with the win!!

The Jackets won 14-5 and played well up and down the line up!

Next week Wheat travels to Granbury to play Acton.

Wednesday, Wheat took on Weatherford Tison. The team played great and showed lots of spirit during the match!!

The final act of the 2022-2023 Tennis Season occurred at Burleson High School during the JV District Tournament.

The Jackets played extremely gritty all day long and in the end were able to snag medals in two events!!

Logan and Amelie won 3rd in mixed doubles, while Everett won 3rd in boy’s singles!!

What a season!!

Cash and Angie played an amazing match before falling to the 2 seed from Abilene Wylie.

The two represented the district and the school with class and honor.

The Jackets were on fire during the District Tournament today and yesterday!!

The team played with heart, grit and spirit over the past two days. We had some fantastic comebacks and lots of super close matches!!

The result was the most successful District Tournament in recent history.

Next up, Cash and Angie will compete in the Regional tournament in Lubbock April 10th and 11th.

Less than a week away from District and the team had their best tournament of the year!!

1st in A girls singles

1st in B mixed doubles
2nd in A mixed doubles
2nd in B boys singles
3rd in A boys singles
Consolation Champs in A boys doubles, B girls singles and B girls doubles.

After a bit of a rainy spell which saw the JV1 tournament in Mansfield called off, the JV 2 played in Alvarado.

The jackets did great winning medals in three events and everyone playing really tough!

Friday the Varsity travels to the Arlington Tennis Center to play in the Lamar tournament.
