🏆🔥 TOURNAMENT CHAMPS — 5-0 WEEKEND! 🔥🏆

What. A. Weekend. for 643 Fastpitch Quzma! 🥎🧡💙

These girls battled through some absolutely BRUTAL Texas heat this weekend — temperatures around 115°, and somehow continued to get stronger as the weekend went on. Five games later, they walked away UNDEFEATED and TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS! 🏆

5-0 | 27 Runs Scored | ONLY 3 Runs Allowed ALL WEEKEND! 🔥

And there were plenty of highlights along the way!

🥎 7-0 vs. Cherry Bombs — The offense exploded for five runs in the first inning and never looked back. Brynlynn Carroll, Faith Rice, Kinzlee Durham and Dayana Mitchell all helped drive in runs, while Rice finished 2-for-2 with 2 RBI and 2 stolen bases. The team swiped 8 bases and played error-free defense!

🥎 5-1 vs. TGA DeMoss 18U — Preslyn Sanders, Faith Rice and Kinzlee Durham helped put three on the board early before Karma Quzma tripled and Brynlynn Carroll singled to add two more. Karma and Brynlynn each collected two hits, while Isabella Rodriguez was dominant in the circle — allowing just one hit and ZERO earned runs while striking out five. She also threw an IMMACULATE INNING, striking out the side on just 9 pitches! 🔥🔥🔥

🥎 5-2 vs. Crusaders HS 18U — Down 2-0, the girls stayed composed and completely flipped the game in the fourth, putting up 5 runs on 6 hits. Saniyah Vo’a delivered the BIG swing with a 3-run HOME RUN to center field! 💣🥎 Bayleigh Richardson was outstanding in the circle, allowing just one hit and ZERO earned runs over four innings.

🥎 3-0 vs. Crusaders HS 18U — And they finished the weekend exactly how they started it — with a SHUTOUT! Isabella Rodriguez went all five innings, allowing only two hits, ZERO runs and ZERO walks. Kinzlee Durham got the scoring started, and Brynlynn Carroll helped add two more with a perfectly executed sacrifice bunt. The defense backed it all up with a double play and ZERO errors!

To play this well is impressive. To do it through five games in extreme heat on scorching turf says even more about the toughness, grit and heart of this group.

The pitching staff and defense were absolutely 🔒 LOCKED IN — just THREE runs allowed the entire tournament. The offense found ways to manufacture runs, came through with big hits in big moments, ran the bases aggressively and kept putting pressure on opponents.

5 games. 5 wins. 27 runs scored. 3 runs allowed. 2 shutouts. 1 CHAMPIONSHIP. 🏆

So incredibly proud of the fight these girls showed this weekend. They earned every bit of this one!

🥎🔥 643 FASTPITCH QUZMA — SATURDAY RECAP! 🔥🥎

What a day for these girls! 643 Fastpitch Quzma finished Saturday a perfect 3-0, going 2-0 in pool play to earn the #1 seed before carrying that momentum into bracket play with another BIG win! 💪

🥎 Pool Play — W 7-0 vs. Cherry Bombs

643 wasted no time getting the offense going, putting up 5 runs in the first inning! Brynlynn Carroll and Faith Rice each came through with RBI singles, Kinzlee Durham brought home another run, and Dayana Mitchell drew a bases-loaded walk to help build the early lead.

Rice added another RBI single later in the game and finished 2-for-2 with 2 RBIs and 2 stolen bases. Saniyah Vo’a also added an RBI single as the girls finished off the 7-0 shutout!

The pitching and defense were just as strong. Bayleigh Richardson threw a hitless, scoreless inning, and Mitchell followed with another scoreless inning in relief. The defense played error-free softball, while the offense created havoc on the bases with 8 stolen bases! 🔥

🥎 Pool Play — W 7-0 vs. ETX Nightmare 18U

Another shutout and another 7-0 win gave the girls a perfect 2-0 pool-play record and the #1 SEED heading into bracket play! 🥇

🥎 Bracket Play — W 5-1 vs. TGA DeMoss 18U

The girls kept rolling! Preslyn Sanders doubled down the left-field line, Faith Rice brought home a run, and Kinzlee Durham doubled to right to help 643 jump ahead 3-1 in the first inning.

In the second, Karma Quzma tripled to center, followed by an RBI single to center from Brynlynn Carroll to extend the lead. Quzma and Carroll were a force hitting back-to-back, each collecting 2 hits, while Quzma, Sanders, Durham, Rice and Carroll each drove in a run! 👏

And how about Isabella “Bells” Rodriguez in the circle?! 🔥 She allowed just ONE HIT and ZERO earned runs over 3 innings, struck out 5, walked NONE, AND threw an IMMACULATE INNING — striking out the side on 9 pitches! 🤯🔥🥎

🔥 USSA Southern Nationals RECAP 🔥

What a weekend for our 643 Fastpitch Quzma 16U squad! 💙🥎

The girls wrapped up the weekend with a 5-4 record, battling through 20+ hours of softball in the brutal Texas heat. While the record doesn’t tell the whole story, the fight, grit, and heart this team showed every single game certainly does.
