Think of us as the merger between CrossFit, Yoga, Flexibility, Mobility, and Body-weight Strength Training. Most people are looking for that sweet spot in training where they can become super strong, really flexible, feel amazing, look even better naked, and not get hurt. At MOVE, we combine several of these training methods into one. Our classes focus on skill acquisition, strength development, j

oint strength and mobility, core and low back training, shoulder prehab/rehab, endurance training, and much more. We also offer private training sessions, where customization is perfected. Our introductory program, called Fundamentals, allows you to work one-on-one with our coaches to learn the basics and prepare for classes. Once you’ve graduated, you’ll get to join our tribe of happy, healthy, quirky folks. We blend unlimited class access with scheduled private training sessions to keep you accountable, and ahead of the game.

If weekends keep feeling “off track,” the problem may not be the weekend at all. Sometimes the real issue starts earlier, with a weekday routine that is too rigid, too restrictive, and hard to sustain in real life.

Social meals are not the problem by default. They often just expose what the plan was already making harder to manage.

If this pattern feels familiar, our Nutrition Coaching can help you build a more realistic approach that supports your goals without turning food into an all-or-nothing cycle.

After school, a lot of kids don’t need another place to sit.

They’ve already spent the day in a classroom, following instructions, focusing, being quiet, and trying to stay on track. By the time school is over, they usually need a chance to move.

That’s why the MOVE Kids Program works so well as an afterschool option.

Kids get to use their energy in a way that’s structured, fun, and productive. We work on strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, and body control through gymnastics-style movement that helps them build confidence and learn new skills.

They do not need experience to start. They just need a place where they can move, learn, and be coached well.

Also, MOVE is a direct provider for Step Up For Students.

If you’ve been looking for a good afterschool activity for your child, check the link in BIO and learn more about our Kids Program.

Training hard is great.

But if your body always feels beat up, stiff, drained, or like you’re barely making it to the next workout, recovery probably needs more structure too.

That’s why we built Fire & Ice at MOVE.

It gives you access to our recovery space with a sauna and two temperature-controlled cold plunges, so you can make recovery part of your actual week instead of something you only think about when your body feels rough.

Use the sauna to slow down, sweat, and decompress.

Use the cold plunge for controlled cold exposure in a clean, dedicated space.

You don’t have to be a MOVE training member to use it either. If you lift somewhere else, run, play a sport, train hard, or just want a better recovery routine, this can fit into your week.

Recovery is part of training.

A slower progression gives your body time to adapt. More clean reps. More control. More confidence in the position. More strength in the tissues that need to tolerate the work.

That matters a lot with calisthenics and GST-style training because your wrists, shoulders, elbows, hips, and ankles need time under the right amount of stress before harder progressions make sense.

So yes, slow progress can feel boring sometimes.

But if it keeps you training, keeps your reps cleaner, and helps your body handle the next step with less guessing, it’s not really slow.

It’s just better coaching.

If you want to build strength, mobility, and skill without rushing progressions your body isn’t ready for yet, check the link in BIO and book your FREE intro.

You can be in shape and still feel brand new when you start calisthenics.

We see this all the time.

Someone lifts, does CrossFit, goes to OrangeTheory, practices yoga, plays sports, or has trained for years… then they try rings, handstands, pull-ups, or deeper mobility work and suddenly it feels like their body is learning a new language.

That doesn’t mean you’re weak.

It just means this type of training asks for different things.

More body control. More shoulder stability. More grip. More mobility. More patience with positions you may not have practiced before.

That’s why we don’t expect new people to walk in and know what to do.

At MOVE, we coach the starting point first. We look at where your body is right now, what you already have, and what needs to be built before harder skills start making sense.

For a lot of people, that starts with Fundamentals or private coaching.

You get to learn the basics, understand the positions, build confidence, and transition into classes with a much better foundation.

Carbs are not always the problem. Sometimes the real issue is how they show up on the plate.

A carb by itself can hit fast and leave you hungry again not long after. But when that same carb comes with protein, fat, fiber, and better timing, the response can look very different.

That is why nutrition is rarely about calling one food “good” or “bad.” Context matters. Composition matters. Timing matters.

If you want a more practical way to eat for energy, blood sugar balance, and satiety, this is exactly the kind of work we do in our coaching.

We’re opening the doors tomorrow for our Grand Re-Opening Open House.

Friday, June 20
10:30 AM – 1:00 PM

We’ve been working on the renovations, and we’re excited to finally show everyone the new recovery space at MOVE.

We’ll have the sauna and both cold plunges available, and you’ll be able to check out the space, ask questions, learn more about the Fire & Ice membership, and see how recovery fits into what we’re building here.

If you’re planning to do the cold plunge, please bring your own towel.

No pressure, no complicated setup. Just come by, take a look, meet the team, and see the new space.

We’d love to have you there.

Most people don’t need to be thrown straight into a class and told to figure it out.

They need someone to look at how they move, what feels limited, what feels strong, what feels uncomfortable, and what they’re ready for right now.

That’s the point of Fundamentals.

It gives us time to coach you one-on-one before you jump into regular strength classes. We get to see your shoulders, hips, wrists, knees, spine, basic strength, mobility, and how your body responds to this style of training.

And you get time to learn.

You learn the positions. You learn how we coach. You learn what your body needs. You learn where you feel confident and where you need more support.

It’s not about making the process more complicated.

It’s about giving you a better start.

Because if you’re new to this kind of training, coming back after time off, dealing with old aches, or just not sure where you fit, guessing your way through advanced exercises is probably not the best first step.

Fundamentals helps us meet you where you are and coach from there.

MOVE Coach of the Month: Anika

Anika has been around gymnastics for a long time. She started at 9 years old, after her mom enrolled her in Kaneohe Bay Gymnastics Academy, and it became a big part of how she grew up.

It helped her with discipline, focus, attitude, and confidence. It also taught her a lot about patience, especially after dealing with wrist and ankle injuries and having to work her way back through physical therapy.

That shows up in the way she coaches.

Anika cares about form. She cares about consistency. She cares about helping people practice safely instead of rushing toward harder skills before their body is ready.

And she’s not coaching from a place of chasing a “perfect” body. She’s much more focused on helping people understand how they move, build trust in their body, and feel more connected to what they’re doing.

We’re grateful to have Anika on the team and excited to celebrate her this month.

If you train hard, “eating light” is not always the smart move.

A lot of people end up treating food like they are trying to eat less, while also expecting their body to perform more. That mismatch shows up in low energy, rough workouts, intense night hunger, slower recovery and the feeling that something is off.

The goal is not to eat more just for the sake of it. It is to eat in a way that actually supports the work you are asking your body to do.

If your training is consistent but your food still feels confusing, check the link in bio for nutrition coaching.
