If your bunker shots keep coming out heavy or buried in the sand, check these two things:

✅ Keep the clubface OPEN — let the bounce glide through the sand.

✅ Let the clubhead pass your hands through impact.

❌ Close the face = the leading edge wants to DIG.

❌ Hands racing too far ahead = too much forward shaft lean and MORE DIGGING.

Think OPEN FACE + CLUBHEAD RELEASES.

Let the bounce do the work and slide underneath the ball. ⛳️

Save this for your next bunker practice session and send it to a golfer who fears the sand.

Comment “NV26” and I’ll send you 3 driver drills to help your swing. 🏌️‍♂️

Want more control and consistency? Slow your swing down.

Slow-motion swings help you actually feel what’s happening instead of just reacting to the ball.

They’re great for improving:

⏱️ Sequence — get everything moving in the right order
🎯 Tempo — smooth out your transition
➡️ Path — feel where the club is traveling
🏌️ Face Control — better awareness of the clubface
🦶 Pressure Shift — feel pressure move correctly through the swing

You don’t always need more reps at full speed. Slow it down, own the movement, then add speed.

Save this and try 5–10 slow-motion swings during your next practice session.

🎯Comment “FIX26” for a FREE online swing tip. I’ll give you 1 pre-swing fix + 1 in-swing fix based on your swing.

Golfers don’t need 10 swing thoughts. You need two specific changes.

1️⃣ PRE-SWING: Fix the posture

Too much knee bend + rounded back can make it difficult to rotate properly.

Try this:
👉 Stand tall with a long spine
👉 Hold the club out in front of your chest, parallel to the ground
👉 Stand about a hand-width from the grip
👉 Keep your spine long and hinge from the hip sockets
👉 Add just a slight knee flex

Now you’ve created a much better spine angle to rotate around.

2️⃣ IN-SWING: Get the arms + body connected

His arms were getting disconnected early and picking the club straight out, making the club path and face harder to control.

The fix:
👉 Feel your lead bicep stay connected to your lead pec
👉 Put a glove or towel under your lead arm
👉 Halfway back, get the shaft roughly parallel to your toe line

Simple connection. Better rotation. More predictable club path. More consistent contact.

That’s how I approach remote coaching: one thing before the swing + one thing during the swing. No information overload.

🚨 STOP THROWING THE CLUB FROM THE TOP.

If you struggle with casting, losing lag, or hitting weak shots, grab an umbrella. ☂️

Swing it back and let it pop open around P3 — when your lead arm is about parallel to the ground.

Then feel this:

👉 Hinge the wrists
👉 Shift into your lead side
👉 Let your BODY pull the umbrella through
👉 Feel the resistance create natural lag

The key? Don’t throw the umbrella from the top. Let your body lead and the arms follow.

That little bit of resistance gives you instant feedback on what proper sequencing should feel like.

☂️ Save this drill and try it before your next range session.

Comment “NV26” for help with your driver!

Your setup distance might be making solid contact harder than it needs to be.

Try this simple setup check 👇

🏌️ Hold the driver with your trail arm only
➡️ Bend your elbow into your side
➡️ Hinge forward from your hips
➡️ Let the club naturally find the ground

Now you have a much more repeatable distance from the ball instead of guessing every time.

Better setup → Better balance → Better contact. 💥

Save this for your next range session and send it to someone who always looks like they’re reaching for the ball.

🚨 Your swing might NOT be the problem… your GRIP might be.

The grip controls the clubface. If it’s wrong at setup, you’re already making the swing harder than it needs to be.

✅ Lead hand through the fingers
✅ Heel pad on top
✅ Thumb slightly to the backside
✅ Lead thumb fits into the trail-hand pocket
✅ Trail trigger finger hooks underneath the grip and sits slightly lower than the thumb

Before you change your swing, CHECK YOUR GRIP.

📌 Save this for your next range session and send it to someone who needs a grip check.

Comment “FIX26” for a FREE swing analysis 👀 I’ll look at your swing and spot the details you might be missing.

🚨 STOP SWAYING YOUR HIPS

If your trail hip starts higher than your lead hip, you’re already making it harder to rotate correctly.

Instead, slightly bump your pelvis toward the target at setup.

This helps your trail hip:
✅ Pivot and turn instead of sway
✅ Create a better weight shift
✅ Stay more centered
✅ Improve contact and consistency

Sometimes the problem isn’t your backswing…

It started before you even moved the club.

Comment “FIX26” and let’s find out what’s really holding your swing back. ⛳️

Comment “TRAP” for my FREE 3-drill series to STOP coming over the top. 🏌️‍♂️

🚨 Is your trail elbow FLYING at the top?

That elbow getting too far away from your body can make it much easier to get steep in transition, throw the club outside, and come across the ball.

And if you’re fighting SHANKS, pay attention to this one. 👀

📦 Try the Box Drill:

👉 Swing with your trail arm only
👉 Place your lead hand on top of your trail elbow
👉 Let the trail arm stay relaxed and bent coming down
👉 Keep the elbow working in front of you through impact
👉 Let the trail arm straighten AFTER impact

The goal isn’t to pin your elbow to your side.

It’s to teach the trail arm how to fold → shallow → deliver → extend.

Get this sequence right and you’ll have a much better chance of approaching the ball from the inside instead of throwing the club over the top.

Comment “NV26” for more DRIVER POWER 💥🏌️‍♂️

Want more speed without swinging harder?

Try this LEAD HEEL STOMP DRILL.

👣 Lift your lead heel at setup
🔄 Keep it UP as you make your backswing
💥 First move down — STOMP it into the ground like you’re smashing a soda can
🚀 Then rotate hard and finish all the way through

That stomp helps you use the ground forces to create better sequencing, rotation, and SPEED.

Stop trying to manufacture speed with your arms.

USE THE GROUND. CREATE THE POWER. 💥

Save this drill and try it next time you’re on the range.

STOP guessing where the ball goes in your stance. 👇

Your ball position should change as the club gets longer—and getting it wrong can completely change your contact, launch, and consistency.

🏌️ Wedges: About 1 clubhead inside the trail foot
🏌️ Mid-Irons: Near the center of your stance
🏌️ Long Irons / Hybrids: About 1 clubhead inside the lead heel
🏌️ Fairway Woods: Slightly farther forward
🏌️ Driver: Just inside the lead heel

Shorter club = farther back.
Longer club = progressively farther forward.

📌 SAVE this reel and use it as your ball-position cheat sheet the next time you practice.
