Tampadelphia!
Hi, I'm back. Never left, just took the usual break with some new things added.
Doing fine, if you wondered. Got a new medical wrinkle but all may be okay soon. If not, ... ?
Otherwise, we carry on toward another new season ahead. OCC is ready, and things are always being tabled to help improve our game days. They're a good and loyal crew, and appreciate our business.
Looking immediately ahead, the NFL draft is within a week. Who will the Eagles take? Will they move around? Considering all the new players they got this off season, I have no sure comment about who or what position.
Like Marvin Gaye sings, what's going on?
Will they keep AJ Brown? I hope so. I lived through too many seasons of bad Eagles WRs. Keep AJ and let him work it out with Hurts if that's the issue. Maybe this Vrabel scandal will kabosh a Patriots deal and AJ stays. Hoping!
Let them both work it out with the new OC and offensive coaches.
New coaches, new players, new scheme, new needs and backups . . . I'll watch and trust in Howie.
Then the June 1 FA period starts. More maybes. Then training camp. Then the season after 3 warmup games.
This is supposed to be fun, remember?
Experience says we won't have a clue about how the team may do until October. Unless Vegas says otherwise.
I always think it's stupid to kill a good thing, whether a roster, a relationship, etc. But once you do, don't look back after it's too late. Unless you can get it back again.
So I'm here just to state Tampadelphia is focused on great game days, family focus, but loud and passionate. And for the Flyers, Phils, Sixers, Union and Wings, and Lightning, Rays and Rowdies.
Why the Tampa team support? We live here, why not? Same for the other sports. The NFL is getting too out of reach for average fans. Costs for TV packages, games, merch, and all the longer seasons intrudes on our money and time. We all have bills and a whole other life. The NFL is just another choice. Great if you're pulling in great money but many don't.
So, we balance. And at Tampadelphia we keep an eye on that. Venues charge more for food, drinks of all kinds, and tips. They're pushed higher and also add the credit card fee if you choose to pay via cards.
So I suggest this: when the schedule comes out, look it over and choose the games you want to see outside the house. Many may be on different streaming packages you already get. Then bring cash to cover the anticipated bill.
If you are in a new place and don't know costs, or quality of food, start slow by having an earlier meal at home so you can split a plate with your other. Spend and enjoy some of your hard earned money, but be smart.
Or you can do like Buffet and stay home and invest all the money you'd spend elsewhere.
Point is, think and plan your moves.
This is already too long. Thanks for being with us, following us online. It's good to reconnect. I officially retired in 2025 so this season will see more interaction online. But no spam or mailbox overflows from us!
BTW, the Flyers made the playoffs! We're up 1-0 vs the Penguins and the kids are showing Flyers grit.
Stay tuned, lots ahead.
Go Flyers! Go Phils! Go Union! Go Wings! Go Eagles! Go Sixers! Go Bolts! Go Rays! Go Tampadelphia!!
