2 day drive to Tampa done and let’s just say my body is in need of some extra omega 3s.

Did you know that a majority of Americans intake a higher ratio of omega 6s to omega 3s in their diet? Are you wondering why this matters?
Omega 6s are pro inflammatory and excess of them are associated with obesity along with other negative health markers.
While there is no need to avoid omega 6s all together optimize the ratio of omega 3s to omega 6s is crucial for longevity!
Research also shows that omega 3s support heathy cognitive function, fat loss, reduces cholesterol and blood pressure, lowers inflammation, etc.
Since I know I don’t eat enough or even any wild caught cold water fatty fish I make sure to supplement with a high quality fish oil like Full Mega.

After Kristen’s 1st NPC show of the season we set out to accomplish all the feedback given by Sandy and the other judges.

By coming in 2lbs lighter we were able to create more fullness in her shoulders and glutes.

Same with pushing more sodium the day of to help fill her out while still allowing for waist to stay tight.

A little over a week till Tahoe and changes are still being made to beat the last physique.

With someone as dedicated as Kristen nothing will get on her way of being her best!

For the longest time I never thought gut health and micronutrient intake was important.

I used to even make fun of my mom for drinking a greens drink back in 2009 (typical high school freshman).

However, micronutrients and gut health are key to longevity and allowing your to progress towards your goals. Vitamins and minerals are responsible for almost every function in the body from metabolism, gene expression, fat liberation, energy production etc.
Micronutrient intake is not something cool and flashy to talk about but so important when looking to improve your physique and quality of life.

Reminder ✨⬇️

There are times where being a mom/parent will come before your fitness goals and that’s okay!
Taking a step back and putting your family first does not make you any less dedicated to your goals.

This goes for many things in life too not just kids! Maybe there are times work comes first or school.

What is important is that you take the time you need while still relying on your foundational habits.

🔸Getting your water in.
🔸 Focusing on a few solid protein servings throughout the day.
🔸 Daily movement.
🔸 Micronutrient intake 🍉🥬

All these habits above can be done even when focusing on other priorities in life.

Remember tracking is a tool but not the end all be all when it comes to coaching.

2 week client transformation 👏🏼
With our first NPC show done and feedback from Sandy to come in a tad leaner, while keeping size, that is exactly what we sought out to do leading into our next show this weekend.

On the left Kristen was around 110lbs
Currently, we are sitting at 108lbs

Switching up our peak this time around to with more of a rapid backload method, I am excited to see the final look!

Kristen and I have been working together for close to 2 years now which has allowed me to learn her body and why we have choose more of a controversial peak this time around.

Ready to crush the rest of this week

Client transphormation ✨When it finally just clicks!!

Shannon has been putting in the work for several weeks now and these past couple months it just started to all make sense.

She has begun pre-planning her meals and making an effort to meal prep.

Her workouts have shifted towards more resistance training with proper form thanks to video demonstration in the 1st phorm app.

While the scale may not be drastically down we are seeing some major body recomp without needing to push calories extremely low which is exactly what we what.

We are only getting started, so excited to see where these next weeks take us!
