I had an amazing opportunity to attend the Advanced Movement Principles with Nora St. John.
We host the workshop at our studio “Suncoast Pilates” in Palm Harbor.

Here is another incredible improvement from one of our clients.
3 Egoscue session with our specialist and homework. Less than a month for such a dramatic change!

Beginning with the front facing photo:

-Head is less tilted
-Shoulders are more level
-The rotation of the upper torso is reduced. You can see this because of the negative space between the arm and rib cage becoming more balanced. (blue filled in area)
-Hips are much more level
-Knees are in a better place - a little further apart
-The location of fingers (where they hang to) is more balanced
The feet are placed more evenly.

Looking at the back photo:

-The back picture supports the improvements seen on the front photo.
-Notice the position of the left elbow. It’s pointing more towards the back, and less to the side. This is a sign that left shoulder is less rolled forward
-Look at the hair and how it falls down with gravity. It shows very clearly the difference of head position before and after.
-Note as well the foot placement. You can see in the before photo how far forward left foot is. This tells you that the twist of the pelvis is reducing.

Looking at the side photo:
-Weight distribution is more in the middle of the foot and not as far forward. Head, ribcage, and pelvis are better stacked vertically.
-The long red line is showing how face is lining up with the arch of the foot. You can see how much more vertical it is in the after photo.
-You can also see that the shoulders are further back
-With better vertical alignment, the stress on the knees (hyperextension of the knees) is reduced.
