March 1st is our deadline for Scholarship applications! Did you know you can apply as a team? NAASA is encouraging teams of 3 or 4 to apply for a scholarship with substitutions in mind. Partial teams and individuals are also encouraged to apply and NAASA will work to connect applicants with potential teams. We want to hear from you!

The Eastern Area / NAASA Fleet had a great showing at the 2022 F18 World Championships including regular visitors Ravi Parent and Severin Gramm on becoming the 2022 F18 World Champions! Congrats to all of our sailors that competed from our fleet.
6th - Lars and Olin Guck
7th - Todd Riccardi and Dalton Tebo
13th - Mike Easton and Chris Manson
35th - Ben Setareh and Dylan Heinz
40th - Josh Bartoszuk and Henry Lee
Special notes that Team Setarah/Heinz lead nearly half the final race and Team Bartoszuk/Lee had some really stellar moments in their first F18 regatta together on their new boat, these teams are showing a lot of potential for next summer!

The 2022 New England 100 is less than a month away! Over 20 boats including F18s, Hobie 16s and an open class consisting of a Carbon 20, Foiling F18, Hobie 21 and more will be racing with the goal to cover 100 miles throughout Narragansett Bay and surrounding area.
This event is a highlight of the year, distance racing in catamarans is truly a unique experience that no other small sailboats can match.
Come join us, enjoy the beautiful scenery, race hard, relax while sharing stories of the day over a beverage and and food back on land!

Competitors, please note NOR Amendment #1: Adjustments made include... Waterproof charts to allow a smartphone or tablet in a waterproof pouch and if you need a high vis top to compete please contact the organizers to borrow one.

Surely all the F18 action in Newport has you wondering how to get involved. There’s no racing this weekend, but the next NAASA Race Day is August 6th followed by the New England 100 August 20-21st and US Sailing Multihull Championships August 25-28th. All in Newport!

It is super easy to sail with us and our fleet will support you in every way possible… we have all shapes and sizes of sailors, you'd be a great addition to our fleet!

Your best bet is to just get in touch with us, we’re happy to chat about how to get you involved.

Obviously the best bet is to jump fully in by buying an F18 and coming to sail with us! The fleet is very open to helping develop others, with a fleet debrief after each day of racing you’ll learn fast! You don’t need to go spend 30K on a brand new boat, several competitive boats +/- 10K have just hit the market.

If you just want to get on a boat, current boat owners are always looking for crew or even a skipper, NAASA occasionally has charter boats, if you drop us a note can add you to our email list and reach out when there are openings.

The competition keeps heating up! Team Guck inc. with Lars and son Olin Guck take the win on their first day out on their new to them Nacra Evolution.
Next NAASA Race Day August 6th followed by the New England 100 August 20-20 and culminating in the US Sailing Multihull Championships in Newport August 25-28.

Two boats in our fleet have upgraded to newer boats. So that means there are two great used competitive boats available!
Skip Whyte, in photo below, with a big smile on his face being handed over his new to him Nacra Evolution. Lars Guck has also moved into a new to him Nacra Evolution.
Skip's #286 Asking $8,000, it is is very competitive with two suits of sails including a 1 year old spinnaker, and could be fully up to top racing with the addition of a decksweeper.
C2 #281 Asking $12,500 Lars is the owner of the best composite shop in the business and has fully updated his boat to modern specification by lowering the main bridle wires, adding Nacra Evolution Rudders, modern rigging, and a suit of newer Glaser sails with a Decksweeper.
