Onyx update,

Completed taking top of the engine down to and removed the oil cooler / filter housing.

Driver side intake cam had a ground lobe and a couple of collapsed lash adjusters.

You can see one completely failed follower and a couple just on the edge.

Onyx, my daily driver had the tick of doom.
Today that time ran out and the follower or something decided it was done.
Scrambled frame and axles were moved to storage, that will have to go on hold for a bit while I fix or replace this heartbeat.

Scrambled,

Today we got started by cleaning out the workshop and hanging up some man-cave things.
Mfalme, has been a big help!

Garage cleaning day,
Took some time to clean my work shop in preparation to start putting Scrambled together.
In the process I hung up some Man-cave art.
I spent $3500 on a Holley fuel injection banner, and got a free Terminator X package.😂😂😂

Scrambled’s frame in progress, LS engine mounts along with stock high arm CJ-8 shock mounts, unsure if they will work but they look pretty close to lining up with the SD-60 front axle. Time will tell…

Getting ready to flip the frame to finish welding the bottom.

Onyx my daily/weekend warrior,

Belt and pulleys worn out and squeaking.
Simple job turned into ordeal….
Pulled old stuff out and installed new,
Lasted an entire 7 minuets and about 70’ before complete melt down….

If you do this job, do yourself a favor and install the Gates kit and skip the cheap stuff. Live n learn.
