Levels are still good today

As water levels continue to fall, and rain takes a break , river levels look decent for the weekend. There will still be some big waves in sections, but if you read the water right, and can put your boat where you want it, should be a good weekend to paddle. Always wear your PFD (life vest). No one plans to swim when boating but it happens

Update. He and dog found. Do not know condition or where?
Water is still high and muddy. If they are underwater they won't be found right away unless he's wearing a PFD. Prayers they swam out.

Canoe overturned with 1 occupant unaccounted for. Search and rescue out.

We got just under 2 1/2 inches of rain in 2 days. Everything is rising rapidly. Best advice is stay off the river and creeks (unless you have substantial whitewater experience with self rescue down.)
Go to Parker dam, Curwensville lake, Black Moshannon State Park.
Water levels will remain high for a few days.

Water is pretty high. Hyde gauge 3.5 ft 2 days ago. 6.5 ft and rising when I last checked. Stay off the river if it looks muddy
If you fail to heed advise wear a life vest PFD.

Water levels are good now but expect rises. Too early to predict levels. Rain throughout the weekend. Temps cold. Monday temps look good.

Karthaus at 3.6 ft. Perfect level. Still cold out. Wear proper clothing and pfd.
