Hokulele Paddling Club Marathon Canoe, Outrigger Canoe, and Dragon Boat Club from Houston, Texas

Hokulele Outrigger Canoe Club was founded in 2008 and offers instruction, training, and recreation to members of the Houston and Clearlake community in both outrigger and dragonboat paddling. The membership is made up of a diverse group of paddlers ranging from varied backgrounds such as investment professionals, pharmacists, nurses, teachers, physical therapists, IT professionals and many more. M

embers come to the team with varying athletic backgrounds, with some seeking to be competitive and others for a opportunity to increase fitness and meet new friends.

This past weekend was fun from start to finish. Coach Robert Norman provided outstanding instruction both on land and on the water, giving paddlers a complete understanding of technique and performance. Robert’s clear explanations and keen eye for detail helped each participant refine their stroke, improve boat control, and gain confidence in a variety of conditions. Everyone left with improved skills, new insights, and plenty of motivation to continue developing on the water.

Special thank you to K2N Paddling School and Coach Robert Norman for an exceptional weekend of learning and paddling excellence!
