February is a month where we celebrate love, and with the emphasis of showing love put on others we often overlook our own selves. This Saturday i along with .movement want to offer you the space to cultivate more love for yourself with our first pop up class of the year - Self Love Yoga! This heart-focused class will be a time to calm the judgmental voices in our heads and replace that inner critic with positive and loving words of affirmation. Each participant will also receive a one page Self-Care Guide to help carry some of these ideas into everyday life 💕 Please join us on Saturday, February 12 from 9-10:30 for Self Love Yoga with me, Elea. Cost is $25 to attend and can be paid in advance or upon arrival* DM me with any questions or to sign up!

*please note pop up classes are included in .movement unlimited memberships

Chill leg + core stretch for this chilly day! ☃️ Hold each posture for 5-7 long, steady breaths, moving slowly and smoothly between them. As you breathe, imagine your body expanding energetically on each inhale and grounding down into the earth on each exhale. And 🐾♥️

A S A N A (the physical practice of yoga) creates a connection between the mind and the body through breath matched with movement. Add in a little mindfulness and you’ve got a pathway to moving through emotional and physical tension.
With everything going on, I’ve found myself craving this tension-relieving movement and then also wondering WHAT MORE CAN I DO?! Well I guess the answer is pretty obvious - I need to share this with YOU.
I’m going to start offering a donation-based zoom yoga class once a week for anyone interested. Each week I will choose a different organization to donate to (I welcome any and all suggestions!). If you can’t give, don’t worry about it and simply accept this gift from me 💗 We must take care of ourselves so we can continue to take care of each other. Again, light & love only gets us so far. Now we need real action.

DAY 27: *yesterday* When I decided to become vegetarian back in February I knew it was going to be a tough transition but I was especially worried about how my love/my partner/my dinner-cooking-teammate would react to the news. I wanted a healthier, peace-centered life and while I didn't want to pressure him to make such a huge diet/lifestyle change, I at least hoped he would support me. So many thoughts ran through my head...What if he didn't think I could do it? What if he thought it was silly or dumb? What if, what if, what if? Finally, I realized I couldn't worry about the "what if's". If I knew it was the right thing to do, the rest would work itself out. I told him about my plans and surprisingly his interest was piqued. We started cooking vegetarian dinners together (thru blue apron's grocery service) and while there have been a small handful of questionable dishes, for the most part it's been awesome. He still eats meat occasionally but the fact that he was willing to make such a big change in his eating habits, not just for me but to better himself, fills me with gratitude and proves that people will always surprise you. I'm so thankful for his open mind and his adventurous heart and look forward to many years of adventures, experiments and tasty meals together 💜

DAY 28: all day every day. When you're working for yourself, you're always hustling. Weekends get hard because those are often times to get work done BUT you have to take time for yourself. It's all about balance. Hustle all you can but take time for yourself as well 💜

DAY 29: TGIF but also so thankful to be spending the weekend with one of my best mates 💜 There's something truly special about spending quality time with a friend - whether it's over the phone/FaceTime (my new fave), through email or fb message or in person there's something about friendship that enlightens and nourishes the soul :) I'm so -for reals - to have honest, smart, giving, badass friends who support me and love me as I am. They are there to share in my successes and pick me up after my failures. They have been integral parts to mine and Josh's relationship and I can't wait to share our special day and the future with you all! Here's to friendship and chosen family 🍻 📷: 🙏🏽💜🦄

🔹focused & ready🔹This summer (and now fall) has been a wild ride. A few months back, I was burnt out at work and decided to make a shift to teaching yoga full time. What does that *really* look like? Hustling homie 💪🏼 Sometimes 3 or 4 jobs at a time so that bills can be paid and I can live here in this great but expensive city. I've worked my ass off to make it work but I haven't done it alone. My partner, , has supported me through it all making the pursuit of my dreams possible ( ✨) and the best part about all of this is that in 32 days, I am marrying this incredible human! I'll be documenting my final 30 days as a (some call it 'wedding prep') here with yoga asanas, found words of inspiration and magical moments. I invite you along for the ride 👰🏻🙏🏽💜🔥!

My little yogis 😍 We did our first yoga flow today and I feel like a proud mama 💜 After svasana ended, we got into our sharing circle discussed how we felt and what our favorite poses were...two highlights: 'When I was in shhhadada pose (svasana), I was dreaming I was a unicorn and I was flying all around and everywhere there was rainbows!' (Ella/kindergartener) and 'My favorite pose was plow because when I put my feet behind my head I don't feel angry any more' (Heaven/2nd grade) 💜🤗✨🙏🏽🌈🦄😂💜 Love these little ones and am so thankful to spend time with them each day
