The Sussex County Chiefs are very happy to welcome Mr. Markos Davis as he joins us as our first Head Coach of our program. Coach Davis is bringing with him to the teams coaching staff is his cousin, Brandon Hall. Brandon will take the position of Assistant Head Coach.
Coach Davis is a graduate of Sussex Central High School-class of 2004. . He has been coaching in the community for nine seasons to date, and he completely feels that he is ready for the challenge of coaching semi pro ball.
Our program knows that he will have his hands full with his first major objective of recruiting more of the many young and talented players that we all know are sitting around in our neighborhoods. We don't know exactly what they are doing, but right now we do
know that they have yet to come up to the Georgetown Middle School football field to sign up to play with the Chiefs for this season.
Because our usual Sunday night story relating to the Chefs is late again this week and that Coaches Davis and Hall only signed on late this afternoon the team will hold its usual practice time on Wednesday June 17th at 5:40 PM until 8 PM.
Once Coach Davis settles in we will ask him for whatever changes he might want to make in our practice schedule for the remainder of the Summer, but our first pre season camp practice will still officially begin on Saturday July 11th
This week will be mostly about our pre-season physical testing so all players should come with a pair of sneakers to be tested on the parking lot.
So let's welcome our new Head Coach and his Assistant Head Coach to a full complement of players who want to be a huge part of the Sussex County Chiefs.
