The Kentucky Dragway family is saddened to learn of the passing of longtime racer ๐๐ฒ๐ณ๐ณ ๐๐ฎ๐ณ๐ณ๐ป๐ฒ๐.
Jeff spent many years competing in the sport he loved, racing both ๐น๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐น๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น. Like so many who have dedicated years of their lives to drag racing, Jeff became part of a racing community and a legacy that reaches far beyond elapsed times, win lights, and finish lines.
Jeff was also the father of our friend and racer ๐๐๐๐๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐ณ๐ณ๐ป๐ฒ๐.
Anyone who knows Justin knows the kind of person he is. ๐๐๐๐๐ถ๐ป ๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ฎ ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐น๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ป ๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐๐ฐ๐ธ๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ด๐๐ฎ๐. He carries a smile, a positive outlook on life, and a spirit that Carrie and I have always genuinely appreciated.
And it isn't just Justin. There is a whole group of ladies and gentlemen who come to the track together, and they are simply ๐ฎ ๐ด๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ ๐ด๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฝ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ผ๐ฝ๐น๐ฒ. Carrie and I have always enjoyed seeing that crew pull through the gates โ gathering at the head of the staging lanes, running around on their golf carts, laughing, racing, and simply enjoying being together at the dragstrip.

Our hearts hurt for Justin and the entire Gaffney family as they walk through the loss of his dad. We also know there is a strong racing family surrounding them during these difficult days.
The racing community is a family, and today we ask our Kentucky Dragway family to keep ๐๐๐๐๐ถ๐ป, ๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ณ๐ฎ๐บ๐ถ๐น๐, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐น๐น ๐๐ต๐ผ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ผ ๐น๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ณ๐ณ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐.
