The Tiger Legacy Campaign presented a final check to the USD 379 school board last night, meeting the fundraising goal in support of the development of the new Mark A. Chapman Activity Complex at CCCHS.

Tiger fans everywhere stepped up to help us raise the $950,000 in just 23 weeks. Donations came in from local residents, CCCHS alumni, business owners, local organizations and other members of our amazing Tiger Family!

We want to thank everyone for their amazing support of our kids and community!

If you haven’t yet gotten involved, you still have one more big chance to be part of this legacy project. The Tiger Legacy Campaign will be part of the CCCIF Match Day event on Thursday. There are several ways you can donate on or before Sept. 15:
Online gift. Quick and easy! Online giving will open at 12:00 AM on Match Day. Make your donation with a credit card by visiting www.gatherforgoodcc.com and selecting "Tiger Legacy Fund" as the recipient.

By mail. Mail a check, made payable to CCCIF, and postmarked on or before 9/15/22. These can be mailed anytime or dropped off to Thurlow & Associates at 432 Court Street. You must include the donor form to indicate which organizations you want to give to. You can also pick up a form at Thurlow & Associates.

We’re proud to announce the Tiger Legacy Campaign’s fundraising goals have been met!

On Monday evening, we presented a check for $750,000 to the USD 379 school board, which will officially start the process of building a brand-new multi-purpose stadium next to Clay Center Community High School through the hiring of a pre-construction consultant.

Our campaign has also surpassed the $950,000 inflationary goal with pledges and donations now taking us over $962,000. We hit our goal in just over four months. How awesome is that?!

What that amazing level of support says is that the community will always step up in support of projects that benefit our kids! Thank you so much!

As originally announced, any funds raised above our goal will go to enhancements to the complex, including new track and field equipment, upgraded lighting, a larger press box, an improved sound system and other amenities.

There is still time for you to get involved in support of our kids and school. A donation of $1,000 or more gets your name permanently attached to our Legacy Wall, which will be installed at the new complex.

Because of the amazing generosity from Tiger fans everywhere, our campaign has already surpassed our original fundraising goal, but we increased our goal significantly to account for the increasing prices we’ve all experienced recently. So now we’re asking you to help us finish strong! The sooner we complete the campaign, the more we save.

We have raised $779,100 in donations and pledges from local and area individuals, businesses and alumni. We are so thankful for this community!

Tiger fans are being asked to support a major fundraising effort now underway to make possible the construction of a new multi-purpose stadium complex at Clay Center Community High School.
The “Build a Future, Leave a Legacy” campaign has a goal of raising $950,000 through private, tax-deductible donations, which will allow the school district to complete the project without budgeting new funds for the project and without a tax increase.
Plans were announced last week to upgrade the CCCHS track complex into a multi-purpose facility with a turf field where the Tiger football teams, band, track team and cheer squad, along with PE classes and other athletic teams, could get daily use out of a modern athletic facility.
The new facility will only be built if the fundraising goal is met.
The campaign includes a variety of options for donors to support the effort, but naming rights options are limited. Donation levels with naming recognition range from $2,000-$250,000, and a Tiger Legacy Club option includes the first 100 donations of $1,000 or more, but any size donation will be accepted from anyone who wants to support the project.
Spaces available for naming rights are listed on the project website, www.usd379.org/tigerlegacy. This website also has a full explanation of the campaign. A pledge form is located near the bottom of the site for anyone wanting to use that option for large donations or to mail a check.
