This year was my first time attending the NWTF Warriors Trail Jake’s event and I’m glad I finally got to see it. Seeing all the smiles of the youths that was able to harvest a turkey that morning and hearing them tell their story when they came to the check in table was almost just as exciting for me as it was for them and seeing all of the different activities they had planned for the kids was awesome.
I didn’t get many photos of everything that was going on but despite the rain it didn’t stop those kids from having fun and experiencing the outdoors. From the gift bags and raffles everyone had a great time and I enjoyed talking to everyone that I got to meet and teaching a couple kids how to use some pot calls
With over 150 kids showing up and a warrior trails record of 40 birds harvested
Big thanks to Guy Hostutler, Matt Tuttle, Hunter Moore and everyone else for doing an event like this for the kids, well done
