Clarksville Sailing Club Sailing on Kerr Lake out of Clarksville Va An active sailing club located in Clarksville Marina and surrounding waters.

We encourage anyone with a sailboat in the vicinity of Clarksville that would like to join an active and social bunch to come out to our next event. We have memberships but guests are always welcome to join us for any event. A very nice ramp is right across the lake for trailerable boats that are looking for a group to sail with.

Next race is April 27. Meet at the Clarksville Marina by 11:00 am. Don’t have a sailboat? No problem. You can crew with someone that does. Have never sailed before? No problem. Ride along with an experienced sailor and learn the ropes. I mean lines.

Last night we responded to assist the US Coast Guard locate a sail boat that was possibly coming ashore near Cape Point. The sailboat was located in the wash. We assisted the occupants of the vessel to safety. They were assessed by our members on scene. We assisted the subjects with locating food and lodging for the night. These sailors survived but Cape Point and Diamond Shoals truly are the Graveyard of the Atlantic.

Our first race 🏁 of the season is this Saturday!!!! As usual our captains meeting will be at the Lamplighter Restaurant at 10 with the boats 🚣 pulling out around 12. Hope to see everyone on the water !!!!
