🌟Meet Coach Parker🌟

Coach Parker has been part of our YMCA gymnastics program since Kindergarten, and we're so excited to have him as an assistant coach this year!

He loves music and stays busy as an active member of the MCHS Marching Band and Jamison Memorial Global Methodist Bell Choir. He's also involved in Beta Club and FCA at MCHS, works as a lifeguard at Kinderton Country Club and as an event server at Cooper's Landing, and has a twin brother and younger brother.

In his free time, you can find him hanging out with friends, playing pickleball, and watching TV.

We're excited to have Coach Parker share his love of tumbling while helping our gymnasts build confidence and new skills! 🤸‍♂️

🌟Meet Coach Holland🌟

Coach Holland started gymnastics at age 6 and was part of the YMCA gymnastics program all the way through graduation! Now, she’s excited to give back to a program that was such a big part of her own life.

She’s passionate about helping gymnasts build confidence, learn new skills, and most importantly, have fun in the gym! She’s so excited to be back in the gym, make new memories, and be part of the next generation of gymnasts.

🌟 Meet Coach Sara 🌟

Coach Sara has been part of the YMCA gymnastics family since she was a child and began coaching around 13 years ago. Having grown up in the program herself, she understands the lasting impact gymnastics can have and loves helping the next generation of gymnasts build confidence, friendships, and a love for the sport.

Outside of coaching, Coach Sara works for Southside Electric Cooperative, where she enjoys serving her community through her work. When she’s not at the gym, you can find her spending time with her family and two dogs, boating on Buggs Island Lake, working out, or enjoying just about anything outdoors.

We are lucky to have her sharing her passion, experience, and love of gymnastics with our gymnasts! 💙🤸‍♀️

🌟 Meet Coach Emily T. 🌟

Coach Emily has been part of the YMCA gymnastics family for many years. First as a gymnast herself and now as a coach helping the next generation learn, grow, and build confidence. She has been coaching for 13 years and loves sharing her passion for gymnastics with her athletes.

Outside of coaching, she is a 4th/5th grade reading teacher at Bacon District Elementary and a mom to two girls. Her love for teaching shines both in the classroom and in the gym as she encourages kids to challenge themselves, celebrate progress, and believe in what they can achieve.

When she’s not teaching or coaching, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

We are so thankful to have her to help inspire the next generation of gymnasts! 💙

🌟 Meet Coach Jade🌟

Coach Jade has been part of the YMCA gymnastics family since 1997, and what has kept her coming back all these years isn’t just gymnastics, it’s the friendships, connections, and memories made with gymnasts and families along the way.

She loves helping others stay active, build confidence, and discover a healthy lifestyle through movement while creating a positive and supportive environment in the gym.

Outside of coaching, Coach Jade is a nurse, wife, mom, and business owner. Even with a busy schedule, she continues to make time for the YMCA because she believes in the power of connection, gratitude, and the positive impact we can have on one another.

We are so thankful to have her as part of our gymnastics family! 💙🤸‍♀️

🌟 Meet Our Coaches 🌟

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing the amazing coaches who make our YMCA gymnastics program so special. First up, we’re excited to introduce Coach Judy!

Coach Judy is the heart and foundation of our YMCA gymnastics program. As the founder of the Mecklenburg County YMCA Gymnastics Program, she has dedicated 40 years to coaching and sharing her love of the sport with generations of gymnasts.

A former collegiate gymnast, she brings a wealth of experience and passion to every class, from introducing beginners to their first skills to helping competitive gymnasts reach their goals.

Outside of coaching, she enjoys spending time on Buggs Island Lake and making memories with her grandchildren including one who is following in her footsteps as a competitive gymnast.

Her dedication and love for gymnastics have helped shape the program we know today, and we are grateful for the impact she continues to have on the YMCA gymnastics family. 💙🤸‍♀️
