DEADLINE TO SIGN UP is this coming Saturday March 2nd

Evaluation day is scheduled for this Saturday March 2nd, with teams and practice schedule set to come out next week

Last stop before heading home Nashville, TN! Walked the streets and grabbed a bite to eat since we out this way

This journey began in late May. It was a year where many naysayers said Rowan Little League is going to: “Fall back into the pack”, “Won’t get out of districts”, “Not strong enough to advance through States”, “Will struggle without this player or that player”. In the end, this group of 12 girls played with a little chip on their shoulders, they bonded as friends, accepted whatever role they were given and played team softball in which all 12 girls contributed to our many victories over the course of our run

We finished this journey 1 game away from playing for the title of the best 10u Little League softball team in the Southeast region of the United States of America. We did it with 8 first time 10u All Stars, 4 players who played a regular season in minors, 2-2008 birth years, zero full-time Travel ball pitchers and if anyone would’ve tried to guess this team in February, they would’ve guessed wrong, and that’s what made this run special. It truly shows you want the definition of TEAM is and what it can accomplish

So congratulations Maddi, Ella, Andie, Kennedi, Taylor, Charlotte, McKenzie, Olivia, Arabelle, Maddy, Kimberly and Campbell! Do not let anyone diminish your success. Be proud of what you did! Cherish your memories of your Home-Runs, running catches, no-hitters, clutch plays as well a your memories, of pool parties, fundraising, bus trips, white water tubing, visit to the Mountains, visit to Nashville, TN and most importantly the new friendships you’ve created

In conclusion little league softball is just different! It’s about more than just softball, and I am so happy that these girls, got to experience this journey. And thanks for letting me tag along as your coach

We had mixed results on Saturday

Came out and won our first game 12-9 against Florida behind some hot bats, good pitching and pretty decent defense.

The win put us in a position where the winner of our second game against Virginia was going to the Championship.

Virginia scores 3 in the first and then Roco answers with 8, and we looked to be on our way. However we finally ran into one of those game s where the wheels fell off the bus and the bats went silent. Virginia never gave up (in any game this tournament) and clawed back for a decisive 15-9 win

One game left today (a rematch vs Florida) it’s essentially just an extra game, with nothing at stake with the exception that this will be the last game this team plays together as a team.

Game time 11am (12pm NC time) vs Florida

Southeast Regional Championships today! We play Florida at 2pm (3pm NC Time). Virginia at 4pm (5pm NC Time)

3 team pool play. Best record advances to Championship against the winner of the other pool on Sunday

For the 5th year in a row Rowan LL 10u is representing as the best little league team in the State of North Carolina. We are Clarksville, Tennessee bound for the Southeast Regional Championship!
