Another great weekend of baseball the monsters are on fire!

Thomas Portmann Drives 4 Runners Home In Clinton County Monsters 13U Victory Over 13U - PYO Diamondbacks (Castillo)

Thomas Portmann drove in four runs on two hits to lead Clinton County Monsters 13U past 13U - PYO Diamondbacks (Castillo) 17-1 on Sunday at 7906 W Chester Rd. Portmann singled in the first inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the second inning, scoring two.

Clinton County Monsters 13U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Portmann singled, scoring two runs, Anakin Trevino singled, scoring one run, one run scored on a dropped third strike, and Bentley Burcham singled, scoring one run.

Clinton County Monsters 13U added to their early lead in the top of the second inning when Alex Kiser singled, scoring one run, Portmann singled, scoring two runs, and Adrial Martin tripled, scoring one run.

A hit by a pitch, and a ground out by Phillip Shoemaker helped Clinton County Monsters 13U extend their early lead in the third.

Clinton County Monsters 13U scored five runs on three hits in the top of the fourth inning. Jordan Schmidt doubled, scoring two runs, Colton Burlile drew a walk, scoring one run, Burcham singled, scoring one run, and a passed ball scored one run.

Portmann earned the win for Clinton County Monsters 13U. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out seven and walking none. Jack Davidson took the loss for 13U - PYO Diamondbacks (Castillo). The hurler went two and one-third innings, allowing eight runs (two earned) on four hits, striking out three and walking three. Hunter Petrie started the game for 13U - PYO Diamondbacks (Castillo). The right-handed pitcher allowed six hits and five runs (four earned) over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one and walking one. Kamden Garrison appeared in relief for Clinton County Monsters 13U.

Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Clinton County Monsters 13U Victory Over 13U - Lykins

Clinton County Monsters 13U took Sunday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 7-6 walk-off victory over 13U - Lykins at 9093 Ridgemont Dr. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the sixth when Dillan Duncan doubled, scoring one run.

Clinton County Monsters 13U were the first to get on the board in the first when Thomas Portmann singled, scoring one run.

13U - Lykins captured the lead, 3-1, in the top of the second when Levi Ketring doubled, scoring two runs, and Maddox Morris drew a walk, scoring one run.

Clinton County Monsters 13U flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 6-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Colton Burlile following a 6-pitch at-bat that drove in two.

13U - Lykins scored on a passed ball, which helped 13U - Lykins tie the game at six in the top of the sixth.

Carter Foxworthy earned the win for Clinton County Monsters 13U. The reliever gave up two hits and two runs (zero earned) over three innings, striking out six and walking two. Elliott Lykins took the loss for 13U - Lykins. The pitcher went one-third of an inning, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out one and walking none. Bentley Burcham opened the game for Clinton County Monsters 13U. The right-handed pitcher gave up three hits and three runs (two earned) over two innings, striking out five and walking two. Will Martin stepped on the hill first for 13U - Lykins. The starter allowed four hits and one run (zero earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking none. Kamden Garrison appeared in relief for Clinton County Monsters 13U.

Clinton County Monsters 13U amassed 10 hits in the game. Garrison, Portmann, and Duncan each collected two hits for Clinton County Monsters 13U. Portmann and Burlile each drove in two runs for Clinton County Monsters 13U. Garrison stole two bases.

Ketring led 13U - Lykins with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The infielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Martin, Luke Sheppard, Owen Swafford, Ketring, and Lykins each collected one hit for 13U - Lykins. 13U - Lykins turned one double play in the game. 13U - Lykins were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Clinton County Monsters 13U Take Lead And Never Look Back In Win Over 13U - Kemp

Clinton County Monsters 13U won big over 13U - Kemp 16-3 on Sunday at 9093 Ridgemont Dr.

Clinton County Monsters 13U jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Thomas Portmann singled, scoring two runs, Adrial Martin doubled, scoring one run, and Jordan Schmidt drew a walk, scoring one run.

A single by Kamden Garrison, an error, and a single by Portmann helped Clinton County Monsters 13U extend their early lead in the second.

A single by Dillan Duncan, and a walk by Portmann helped Clinton County Monsters 13U extend their early lead in the third.

Clinton County Monsters 13U scored five runs on one hit in the top of the fourth inning. An error scored one run, a passed ball scored two runs, and Duncan doubled, scoring two runs.

Alex Kiser earned the win for Clinton County Monsters 13U. The righty allowed one hit and three runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking four. Carson Viox took the loss for 13U - Kemp. The reliever went one and one-third innings, allowing three runs on one hit, striking out three and walking six. Wesley Walls started on the mound for 13U - Kemp. The starter allowed five hits and eight runs (six earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking six. Bentley Burcham threw one inning of no-run ball for Clinton County Monsters 13U in relief. The reliever allowed one hit, striking out two and walking none.

Portmann, Duncan, and Martin each collected two hits for Clinton County Monsters 13U. Portmann and Duncan each drove in three runs for Clinton County Monsters 13U. Clinton County Monsters 13U had a strong eye at the plate, collecting 17 walks for the game. Garrison and Carter Foxworthy led the team with three walks each. Foxworthy, Kiser, Schmidt, and Duncan each stole multiple bases for Clinton County Monsters 13U. Clinton County Monsters 13U stole 16 bases in the game. Clinton County Monsters 13U were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Phillip Shoemaker made the most plays with six.

Patrick Wood led 13U - Kemp with one run batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-2 on the day.

The boys have put in an incredible effort leading up to this moment. I firmly believe this ring will be a cherished symbol of their achievement for years to come, and as coaches, we couldn't be prouder of their dedication. I am still in awe of the way the boys came together as a team, lifting each other up, and I am thrilled that we emerged victorious in this tournament, which supported a truly worthy cause.

Clinton County Monsters 12U Come Back To Defeat Naturals Baseball 12U

Despite trailing by as many as four runs, Clinton County Monsters 12U rallied to defeat Naturals Baseball 12U 7-6 on Sunday.

Naturals Baseball 12U jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after one run scored on a dropped third strike, Jack A singled, scoring two runs, and Hudson M singled, scoring one run.

Clinton County Monsters 12U flipped the game on its head in the top of the fifth, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 7-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to right field by Thomas P that drove in two.

Alex K earned the win for Clinton County Monsters 12U. The right-handed pitcher allowed five hits and four runs (three earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Hudson took the loss for Naturals Baseball 12U. The pitcher went four and one-third innings, allowing six runs (four earned) on seven hits, striking out four and walking five. Carter F collected the save. Dillan D appeared in relief for Clinton County Monsters 12U.

Thomas provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Clinton County Monsters 12U with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Alex, Dillan, and Easton T each collected two hits for Clinton County Monsters 12U. Quinton H led Clinton County Monsters 12U with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Dillan and Easton each stole multiple bases for Clinton County Monsters 12U. Clinton County Monsters 12U ran wild on the base paths, piling up eight stolen bases for the game.

Jack drove the middle of the lineup, leading Naturals Baseball 12U with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Hudson led Naturals Baseball 12U with three hits in three at bats. Kasen B collected two hits for Naturals Baseball 12U in three at bats. Bailey M and Hudson each stole multiple bases for Naturals Baseball 12U. Naturals Baseball 12U stole 10 bases in the game.

What a weekend!

We had the honor of playing in a benefit tournament to help a local Clinton County family, and it was truly an amazing experience. Three teams came together for a great cause: the Wilmington Select 12U, the Naturals 12U Select Team, and the Clinton County Monsters 12U.

It was awesome to see all the select teams in the county supporting a local family. Every team played with heart all weekend long. There was plenty of sweat, a few tears, and yes, even a little blood when one player took a ball to the face off his glove. Poor Peanut! Thankfully, he’s a tough kid.

We can’t thank our sponsors enough, along with everyone who came out to watch, donate, and support the cause.

Friday, we opened the tournament with a hard-fought 16-15 game against the Wilmington Hurricanes. On Saturday, we faced the Naturals and came up short in a 15-0 loss.

But Sunday was a different story. Our boys came ready to play and locked in from the start. We faced the Hurricanes at noon and came away with an 11-8 victory. Then, at 2:40, we matched up with the Naturals once again. The boys stayed focused, put in the work, and earned a thrilling 7-6 win.
