Livin RV

Livin RV We made the jump to living full-time in an RV. This is practice until we retire, then we will travel across the US. We love our tiny home.

It is with a bit of sadness that this will be the last post on this page. This last year has been incredibly busy for us, Denise was able to get her kidney transplant finally, and it has been a long road to recovery.

Since she continues to recover, we have decided that it's time to move onto the next phase of our life. We will be selling out Keystone Montana probably within the next few months and buying a stick built house. We are getting to the age that a single level home makes much more sense for our aged bodies.

We appreciate the followers, and who knows, maybe sometime we'll get back to the RV lifestyle for recreation only someday. But for now, it's time to move on!

Thank you followers and supporters, it's been a good run!

Phil & Denise.

Haven't forgotten this page. Been super busy, between a significant RV upgrade, my wife's illness, knee surgery, and life in general, it's been tough keeping up! I promise to be back shortly with a better update!!

Being a workamper in an RV park is fun! My work pays for my space and electricity, plus I earn enough to have a credit I can use for my friends and family to stay in the lodges at this resort. Granite Lake Rv Resort in WA. We have a beautiful spot with a view of the river.

I talked to a full time RVer who was turned around at the Louisiana border going to FL because he and his wife were not residents there. They also said (and I heard this from other people) that they were turned away from RV parks in AZ because they were not taking any new people with the Cornoavirus disease. This particular couple had to boon dock in the AZ dessert before coming here. This is a respected couple. He was a pilot who continued to fly long after his time in Vietnam. Our RV resort is not restricting people from coming here, but are limiting the amt of people using the facilities.

We haven't posted on this site in awhile, but we are still living this life. We have learned a lot about living in a small rv throughout the winter in the pacific northwest. We have also made a few renovations...if you have questions on how to do this, we will share what we have learned. Learning to use dehumidifiers and being workcampers...

So, Denise was determined to make over the RV's bathroom. The sink was faded yellow and had a curling iron burn in it, the cheap plastic faucet fixture was failing and squeaked, the counter top was from the '70's. And that hideous gold trim!. The 3 place shelf was originally white, but Denise nailed it by painting it oil rubbed bronze, but added some gold highlights. Vinyl shrink wrap counter top, a new basin painted bright white, and a house hold style faucet. I painted the tp holder, Denise touched that up too with gold paint over the old rubbed bronze, so it matches the cabinet handles that we've already changed through out the RV. Took a few hours and more than one trip to the hardware store. I'm very impressed!

Since this isn't a brand new RV, over time, some of the exterior pieces have faded to that crudy yellow. Specifically our exterior entertainment center. So, masked it off, treated the door and frame with alcohol after cleaning, and some touch up paint! Like new!

Because this is home on wheels, updates and repairs are a constant. But the ultra gawdy gold tone stuff needed to go, the 70's were calling! Things like this. Going to oil brushed bronze fixtures through out. The updates also meant going to LED's.
