Easter Sunday is the culmination of the Paschal Triduum, the commemoration of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ—which is the price and the cause of our Redemption and restoration to our original dignity as children of God. The Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ is the most important event of Salvation History, on which is founded the validity of the whole Christian doctrine. As St. Paul would affirm in his Letter to the Corinthians, if the Resurrection did not take place, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain (1 Cor 15:14).15:14
